The well chosen header image made me laugh.

I don't hate. I've been a rock n' roll girl my whole life and I think what you just described is lovely. I'll join you for a mug of Lemon Zinger, looking out at the snow.

I was reading along, understanding things just fine, and then I hit this: "Xavier released Floral Shoppe as Macintosh Plus (her overarching moniker is Vektroid) in 2011, and Lopatin released Eccojams Vol. 1 the year before as Chuck Person (his salient moniker is Oneohtrix Point Never)." and felt like I slipped into

Yeah, I actually listen to a lot of ambient music, ambient noise mixes, and the occasional new age music, and while the charge of superficial, meaningless lyrics sticks for sure to a lot of new age music, this article seems to be mocking the creators and listeners of the genre simply for not being more Brian Eno about

Sadly, I think you and Babby Incense would have had a great time partying together. I mixed coconut rum with everything I could get my paws on, except for the kiwi MD 20/20 I drank bricks of on the weekends.

Maybe they're young enough to be living at home and therefore pressed into attending church with their parents? I am old enough that I actually have no idea how young this generation actually is, so maybe that's not it.

Me either. Crappy politics quite aside, the sandwiches are dry as hell. Blah.

I just read Volume 1 of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and it was really good. I gather I have a long, long wait for Volume 2, though.

I went through my Goodreads list of books read this year, and out of 37 read so far, I only really enjoyed five. Hmph. I am pretty sure that (eventually) the Springsteen bio will be #6, though.

I'd be feeling pretty sorry for myself if all that had happened to me. Feel better soon.

God. That's rough. My own mom does the same thing, and its infuriating. I'm her only child and she's always taken her family's side against me, whether it's arguments, teasing, whatever. Again, to nowhere near the extent of the crap you're dealing with, but yeah… I don't fully trust her anymore because of it.

Agreed 100%. You make your own family.

I have a big beautiful linden tree in my front yard and also several in the area around my office building. They're lovely trees, but even though I don't have to rake, the thousands of tiny leaves everywhere I go gets on my nerves.

Savoring the dvd of the entire Aeon Flux series and assorted shorts and commentaries. I missed it entirely the first time around and I am really enjoying it.

Loved Star Trek Beyond - I'm saving The VVitch for Halloween. It's still on Amazon Prime, yes?

Good luck!

Wow, that's awful. I have similar problems at family reunions and holidays (at one point in the last five years, I yelled "let me know when the Republican National Convention is over!!" as I stalked away from the Thanksgiving table and ate standing up in the kitchen) but nothing on that scale. I'm so sorry. :(

Do that again, and I will jump up and smack a knot on your eye!

"a sustained, primal, teeth-baring frottage against the world." Perfectly apt.

Yeah, fair enough!
