I've been looking forward excitedly to Springsteen's autobiography & cd for a while now. I've got a B&N gift card aimed right at them.

Counter-counterpoint: wrong. I love Wings.

Yeah, Ringo's the opposite of grumpy.

I wouldn't have thought that Cosell was of a generation to be so affected by Lennon's death. It's touching that he was.

That was Julian, not Sean. And look, I agree, John was an asshole for a good chunk of his life (maybe almost all of it) but his murder - A murder - is still a tragedy.

Upvoted for Columbus pride.

Class of '87 here and Grease has always been a favorite of mine. I was actually listening to the soundtrack last night!

I'm delighted to see this. If nothing else, there are undoubtedly some shitbags out there who are suddenly getting a little paranoid and scared. However, It'd make me so happy if they actually did find them, arrest them, perp walk them on camera, and make a very public trial of it.

Upvoted for Chiliwack.

My nasty stomach ailment I went to the doctor for (finally) last week seems to (finally) be clearing up on its own.

Agreed. It comes and goes with me, still, but each time it comes, it's milder and goes away faster. I think it might be the aging process? Which might give some hope.

Holy sweet Jesus. And I thought wolf spider invasions were bad. Thank God you found where it went.

Yes, but apparently Millett has written a series of Holmes-in-Minnesota books, so it may not be that one? This is the one about the Hinckley Fire.

Oooohheeurgh. Yuck.

Finished up Larry Millett's Sherlock Holmes and the Red Demon (decent pastiche; he got their voices right which is a big chunk of whether a pastiche works or not) and started The Killings at Badger's Drift, which is the first book in the series they made Midsomer Murders from. I love the show, and I really like the

Book: Johnny. After I saw the movie: Dallas, because insta-crush on Matt Dillon.

This book and that movie meant everything to me when I was 13. At a certain point in the spring of '83, when my mom wanted to get me out from underfoot, she'd give me a few bucks and drive me to the mall and tell me to just go see The Outsiders again. I always did.

Happy birthday!

Getting your energy back after depression or physical illness/injury is (after the blessed lack of pain) the sweetest thing about getting better.

Oh my God. How sad. I'm sorry.
