Aw, I'm sorry you had such a shitty time. What a weird thing for that dude to do.

Agreed. Supernatural is the only thing left that I watch that has those long seasons and it feels strangely old-fashioned.
Nah, don't feel guilty. Your mental health counts for something.
I'm so sorry about your aunt. And I hope your new department/position works out for the better.
Good for you, massages are the best.
Back on to working my way through Inspector Morse. Starting season 6! (From what I've seen of Lewis, i like it/him better, and i prefer Endeavour to both.)
Whack the side of the bottle cap gently against the edge of the counter a few times. Works a treat.
Limeade and vodka. Sort of a vodka gimlet, therefore.
Started my first Ngaio Marsh last night. Grave Mistake. So far, good stuff!
I don't like older Morse as much as I like Baby Morse; Baby Morse is a more pleasant person to spend time with. Also, you can't go wrong with Roger Allam, who is terrific as Morse's mentor Fred Thursday, and the show is beautiful; sets, costumes, lighting, cinematography.
Oh yeah … my excitement is predicated on the idea that they will actually be showing old videos between shows. If that's not the case, then I'm out.
Okay, so having read a bit more about it on Rolling Stone's website, I see this is totally a '90s programming thing and the first hour of MTV ever thing is not indicative of anything else. So I'm excited for that. The rest, ugh.
It sounds beautiful! I'm kind of thankful I've got a tiny yard. I can't do things like water features, but the trade off is that watering takes maybe 20 minutes. A yard like your mom's sounds like you'd want to drive a four wheeler around to water everything and it could take an age to do!
Oh yeah … setting up a really beautiful garden in a big yard for the first time can cost a lot of money. At that point, I imagine it becomes a little more desperate attempt to keep those plants alive at all costs. (I love gardening and have a ton of houseplants too, but I'm not going to pretend I don't kill plants…
The Garden Thread (in Whovian's absence)
Looks great! I am totally envious of the agate pulls - I'd been wanting to make some agate slice curtain tiebacks but it became kind of impractical. Anyway, I love them!
Happy birthday!
Your counselor is a professional whose feelings won't be hurt by this. Also, it's not your job in all this to worry about her feelings. Your feelings are what's important here, and she should understand that.
Congrats!
I'm sorry about your great aunt. She sounds like a wonderful person. There are too few of those as it is.
