I’d like it if that were the end of her statements on the subject. Instead, she went on national TV and talked about what a great writer he is and how much she loves him, and that she asked him to stop because it was coming back to her (instead of because it’s a horrible thing to do).

You make some excellent points. Dcgirl13 said something kind of similar about the evolution of the legal definition of rape over time, as well. I’d have to agree with both of you, and mention that these are subtleties I hadn’t considered when I first watched the video.

Well, I’m not entirely convinced that she even did a good job of fully condemning the behavior. Her statements have been contradictory, and then there was that whole Twitter thing you mentioned.

I don’t know, man. Did you read what he wrote? It made me literally sick. I think I would come to that decision in a split-second. But of course I can’t speak for anyone else, and also of course I don’t know the guy personally.
