@BytheSea: I noticed that, too! Thought it was just my weird mind, but I guess there's some truth to that, too.

@Wandell: I disagree- it's all in the subtle messages.

"Guys respect and absolutely adore a woman who can take charge and kick ass but doesn't feel the need to prove it around him"

@Rosaxé: I really don't think that is what's happening. Just a few weeks ago one of the editors was spouting praise for one of her fashion choices...no mention of the Polanski thing at all. I think we're all just reading too much into it.

@Penny: I kind of see what you're saying. But if you look closer, the top part near his end of the "arm thing" definitely looks attached and like the same fabric as his coat.

@fulanita: If you look a little closer, you can see that the arm in question is, indeed, the guy's, due to the fabrics being the same.

@alula: ...or is it Fansanity?

So, I mentioned this yesterday in the Tips post, but Burberry seems to have done this before.

My brother goes to college in the town where Focus on the Family is headquartered- apparently the students almost never get bothered by FoF reps, even though, as weed-smoking, sex-having, education-getting college students, they should be a primary target.

Burberry has cut off one of Emma Watson's limbs before, in their last campaign with her. In the photo below, check out how one can't tell the difference between his left arm and her right arm...because one of the two limbs is missing.

@alula: I agree with everything you said, and you put it perfectly. A lot of people have this incredibly unbelievable casual attitude towards the issue. It's like they think it's funny to say "That woman is so stupid/nasty/idiotic/mean/whatever she should be sterilized!" It's sickening- and I've heard it from the

@shouldbestudying - med school edition: Exactly! Airplane pilots were about the last people in the world I had unconditional trust in (no matter how irrational having unconditional trust in any stranger can be). Now those cute plastic wing pins just won't be the same anymore...

I have no idea if this is kosher or not for commenters, but do you guys have a copy editor?

In that case, can I get out of work on Valentine's day by claiming that I have allergies to the damned pink fluff and candy hearts?

I'd take pride in being called a "simple slut" by that imbecile. In fact, it'd be the greatest compliment I've ever received.

@incandescent_blue: Although, to add to this, I realize that my body type is still a societally favored one...I just got finished reading the "Thin Privilege" article upthread, and I thought I'd add that- it really made me think some deep, deep thoughts.

It was colder than that at the inauguration!!! (Yes, I'm still hung up that I got to go)

@ostartero: I swear I'm not a fool, but I don't understand what you're saying, even though I've been sitting here trying to figure it out (not attacking you, just letting you know that my brain is running on caffeine and little else at the mo).
