You might be wrong.

If you ever see me actually doing that, feel free to point it out! My “these people” remark wasn’t sarcastic at all and didn’t refer to Americans as a whole, it was genuinely sincere and only referred to a particular type of Clinton supporter.

Nobody said anything about oppressed classes until you showed up. “Ugly American” is a xenophobic insult.

One doesn’t have to be a member of an oppressed class in order for xenophobic remarks made about them to be xenophobic. That’s not how that works.

I respond to Clinton supporters’ xenophobia because xenophobia is wrong and it needs to be stood up to, no matter who it is that’s engaging in it.

Will you try to refrain from making xenophobic comments in the future? Are you willing to step up and tell others to do the same?

It’s not. It has happened in this thread and has happened to me elsewhere. This thread has multiple people making xenophobic remarks and saying that non-Americans should “stay in [their] lane”.

If you’re still willing to stand behind what you said, will you address my question? Do you believe being called “Eurotrash” or a “wacky Brit” is an attack on xenophobic grounds? When a person is being called names like that, are they are being attacked for what they believe or for where they come from?

In what context is calling someone “Eurotrash” not an insult?

Sunglass Hut, which makes me wonder if she has a history of brain injuries.

Do you believe being called “Eurotrash” or a “wacky Brit” isn’t an attack on xenophobic grounds? Would “dumb African” or “Yankee trash” be an attack on xenophobic grounds?

Calling someone “Eurotrash” or a “wacky Brit” is using someone’s geographical origins as an insult. Why do you think calling someone Eurotrash is not an insult?

I’m railing against someone using someone’s geographical origins as an insult. Why do you think that’s okay?

What?

So does Sunglass Hut!

It’s like they didn’t realize wrestling and sports have different audiences.

Only wanting to win is such a myopic position to take.

Don’t tell these people you’re not American. That just draws out their xenophobia. The only kind of xenophobia they don’t like is the kind directed at Mexicans because it’s what Trump does. Everyone else is fair game because they think nobody else is affected by US domestic politics so they shouldn’t be allowed to

I can never remember the exchange rate between opportunity and exposure.

Just so we’re clear, you do listen to Chapo Trap House, right?
