Christ, you’re actually equating not getting your job back to a “life sentence.” You sound defensive. Any accusations in your background?
Couple of things here, bub:
Sorry if it wasn’t clear from my initial post but I’m not stanning for Klobuchar in any way. I was mostly replying to the OP’s assertion that Biden-Klobuchar was an automatic loss; I think she would do well in certain states and it could help the Dems grab some lost 2016 votes, presuming Biden has a chance of winning…
Agree about choosing a woman of color 100%. Stacey Abrams is still my top choice. I was mostly just speculating that a Klobuchar pick wouldn’t necessarily be a dealbreaker (even though she’s at the bottom of my personal list).
I’m not sure I agree with this, assuming to begin with that Biden has a chance of winning with anyone. Klobuchar isn’t the most exciting pick but I think she could help nap some swing states in the Midwest that went to Trump in 2016.
Came here to say this. Enough with “Believe All Women.” The hashtag should be “Investigate All Accusations.” It applies urgency and importance to the matter, but it also ensures that accusers who aren’t being 100% truthful get their shit called out.
“For some inexplicable reason, white people have responded to the pandemic by going full-racist.”
Allow me to theorize: this is *always* their fallback when things go awry. Whether it’s getting cut off in traffic, their candidate losing an election, living through a stressful pandemic, etc. They can’t not be racist, or…
Still not Pacino’s funniest dancing but it’s close
She absolutely deserves to be heard, and things being fair, Biden deserves to have her claim investigated. You’re absolutely right though, maligning her will get us nowhere except backward.
This is the correct take. As important as “believe all women” is as a movement and a state of mind, I’m inclined to think “investigate all accusations” is a safer method.
Bitch looks like a scarecrow. Go scare crows, bitch.
This guy was my favorite actor for the better part of 20 years. I saw all of his movies, even the straight to DVD ones no one else has heard of.
I’m with you on the bulk of HBO shows. I’d recommend Barry or The Night Of if you’re looking for something a bit better (IMO anyway)
Where have you seen this? I’m a Bernie supporter and I know quite a few more, and I’m reading this for the first time here.
This is the deep Seinfeld cut I came here for. That shot of Rusty racing off with the rickshaw still makes me laugh out loud every time.
My parents and in-laws have both *gotten* better. There was some initial shrugging and ignoring of guidelines, but they’ve all been self-quarantining for weeks now.
Christopher Reeve was the best Superman and a fantastic actor in general. He put in great work in Deathtrap and The Remains of the Day, as well. Plus, he used his life-altering injury to give a voice to his type of disability and become an advocate for others.
I really like the Warren VP idea. It’s a good olive branch for voters like me who wanted a more progressive candidate, and – not to be a dick – but there’s a likelier chance than usual she’d become president before the term is up.
I’m still of the mind that Howard Dean would have made a fantastic president. John Kerry wasn’t as bad as people made him out to be, but compared to Dubya in 2004, he couldn’t really hold his own. (Let’s also not forget how Republicans smeared his record as a war hero, party for veterans and all.)
