If nothing else, look at it this way: the term “metroidvania” has reached critical mass. (that’s not to be helpful it’s meant to elicit a chuckle to distract from your worries)

I just finally realized what that reminds me of: Axiom Verge. In that game, if I remember right, you could stay in place to precision aim your shots, but not 360 aim like the whip in Super Castlevania IV.

I dunno about that. When they were showing it at E3 I recognized her singing the song just by the profile of her hair. I found out she was mayor after the fact and I find that better than what they’ve been doing (especially MvD:MotM, where she got kidnapped because DK couldn’t get an action figure. Honestly.)

I watched The Evil Within on Youtube (because I don’t have anything to play it on myself) and I have to say, for how that game went story-wise, this is a really messed up, bordering on impossible premise for the sequel to take. I’m sure it’ll be fun, and having it come out on a Friday the 13th can’t hurt it either.
