@Pierce Nichols: That has... absolutely nothing to do with my comment. The estate has every right to say what their interpretation of the cannon is, the same way everyone else can say whatever they want about cannon interpretation.

@brokenscope: Jez is only covered if it is actually doing one of those activities— the site DOES do a lot of commentary and criticism, but posting the ads on their own, as an illustration to a story that is only tangentially related or without some sort of critique, doesn't not meet that standard.

@Acquanetta: My guess was that it's some kind of comment on how she and Judge Judy look like clones of each other.

Without having seen the movie or read the series, I still think it's hilarious how upset different shippers get when anyone semi important says anything about favoring some other ship. (SEE: the entire reason for the nasty details about Draco in the Harry Potter Epilogue).

I do not own systems, but I love me some mario cart wii and some katamari forever.

@Jenna: Handing out someone else's copyrighted material is bad manners— asking them to please stop hanging out your material really shouldn't be considered bad manners. Whether their reasons are silly or not, the copyright holder's rights should be respected. If I posted the entirety of one of your articles to my

As I said on Irin's post, the ad issue is a copyright issue. People are illegally posting the ads, and denying the brands their right to first publication. They may have any number of reasons, good or stupid, to want to control where their ads are seen, but is it really that puzzling that someone wants to control

@Irin: Thanks for the clarification! That does cut down on some of the market reasons, for sure. My only guess now is that they want to maintain control of their images to prevent other, possibly as yet unforeseen, uses of their property. As goofy as their claims may be (and they aren't anywhere near as goofy as

@HannahBethD: My journal has a "cover" made out of three ads and laminate, and I have a framed image from a spread in my room as well. :-)

Ok... so, I'm not entirely sure I get this, but is the issue simply that ads are appearing online earlier than they're supposed to be appearing in magazines? Which, in turn, is creating more pageviews for the online sites, while also theoretically and possibly lowering the sales of the magazines to people who buy

@femme-bot: What I find especially interesting here, though, is how much of an affect male life choices have on future offspring. It might lead to a lessening of material aimed at women.... or merely an increase of material aimed at men... but either way, if it gets applied it seems like it would swing a bit more

@PhDelish misses 10, dislikes 11: While I don't think everyone should have to live their lives for their future children, I do think this sort of information is super interesting, both for understanding more about our own makeup and expression, as well as informing life choices for those of us who are planning on

@Valkyrie607: Those are all completely different areas of research.

@scottthesot: Read what I wrote again. Try to figure out what it meant. Because it sure as hell has nothing to do with your reply to it.

@cocobanal: Killing the parents = instant me crying. Even, um, now

@mordicai: Well, this Christian loved it.

@DutchessOfDork: You found Princess and the Frog to be blatantly racist?

@madeofawesome: Not always true. For me, therapy is free, and the pill costs money. But I take a pill, and only go in for one check in therapy appointment every three months.

@meloroast: i think the prevelance of people on antidepressants you see likely has soemthing to do with selection bias. I'm on antidepressants, but I only know of two other people who are— and one of those is my sister. Yes, there could be people hiding it, but i know a lot of people who have depressive issues who
