Except there are actual FBI investigations going on. This isn’t wishful thinking on the part of the left. The Trump campaign is under criminal investigation. If anything, it’s the right that’s engaged in wishful thinking when they claim there’s nothing to see here.

From what I understand, if his abuses led to her almost dying from an eating disorder, she has a right to sue him for negligent infliction of emotional distress. So this does help wth some of her legal claims.

She’s not making the music alone. Like just about everyone else in the industry, a lot of people are involved in the creation of her albums. She writes a lot of her own lyrics and melodies. But she needs co-writers for instrumentals and needs producers to provide beats and to finalize the songs.

Formula feeding can hurt a new born. It doesn’t have the infection fighting properties that breast milk has. Yes some women can’t breast feed but we shouldn’t deny the benefits of breastfeeding because of that. Especially in a case like this where the mother wasn’t given a choice.

MOSt people march for themselves and their own interests. And that’s fine. Often our interests intersect and we should build on that commonality. We shouldn’t let the areas where we lack commonality divide us and tear the movement apart. Few people benefit from Republican rule. So it’s in all our interests to make

53% of white female voters voted for Trump. But only about 25% of white women voted for him overall when you take into account non voters. Trump’s presidency may very well be the wake up call that nonvoters need. Right now is not the time to attack people who have been politically disengaged. We need to be more like

I think the big silver lining in Trump’s presidency will be the end of apathy (for a while at least). Most Americans agree with Democratic economic principles but too many have either not been voting at all or voting against their economic interests. We’ve always had Democrats in some level of power that saved us from

If mass umemployment is running a tight ship, and putting people back to work is fucking things up, then we really need presidents that fuck things up more often. I think Trump will be one of those run a tight ship guys, so expect a recession.

Where did you get that 60% stat from? There are about 200 million non retired adults in the US. 123 million are employed full time. There are millions of stay at home parents, college students, and willing part time workers, so that 77 million others aren’t necessarily available for full time work. We’re pretty close

She lived in her car after signing the contract. He made her what seemed like a fantastic offer. She had a financially struggling mom,a much younger brother and no dad. She probably saw this as a great opportunity that would allow her to help support her family. She moved from Nashville to LA after signing the

Her first album and EP would better be described as I’m young and completely broke, and men are always trying to exploit me, but I’m not going to let being poor and exploited get me down. I’m going to enjoy my life anyway. I think she learned the hard way that fun doesn’t make up for the crap life throws at you.

THE short memory of voters won’t work for them. People who have lost healthcare or who have to deal with skyrocketing costs will be worse off in two years than they are now.

I get what you are saying but isn’t it easy to talk when we won’t be the ones who suffer? It will be a small desert community with a large low income population, many of them people of color, who will suffer the most if Coachella is cancelled due to boycotts. Think about if it was your own family that was facing

Coachella brings a big infusion of cash every year. In 2015, 200,000 people attended the festival in an area with a population of about 100,000. Millions of dollars are going to the local community every year. If you take millions out of a small economy, the community will take a big economic hit.

I’m sure many people think this festival is in the middle of nowhere. They may not realize that there’s a large local mainly Latino population that’s heavily dependent on this festival. I used to know a couple of people from Indio. They must be mortified by this talk of a boycott.

Except it’s not really fair to blame Coachella for Anschutz. This is a case of a bigger company buying a smaller company that was the one actually behind Coachella. The Coachella festival supports a lot of charities that support the surrounding communities. You can see the list of charities they support here. https://w

Most illegals come through airports, so the wall is pretty pointless considering the cost. But Trump supporters are dumb enough to think it will prevent illegal immigration so Republicans will waste taxpayer money to build it just to please them.

A Tamir Rice documentary would be very interesting because it involved a cop who never should have been hired. But people love unsolved murders or cases involving doubt like whether Adnan Syed is really guilty or not. A case like Tamir’s lacks that element of mystery that people are often drawn to. A documentary

Although we have to be careful about assuming that when we don’t know all the facts especially since police botched the investigation. Everyone knew that Azaria Chamberlain was murdered by her parents until years later evidence proved they were innocent. None of us know who killed Jon Benet and we probably never will.

Whenever I hear about incidents like this I think of Shirley Jackson’s short story The Lottery, which appeared in the New Yorker years ago. She and the magazine received a ton of hate mail because of the story. I never understood why because the story deals with pointless and cruel customs that get passed on
