NP but only because I know someone will buy it at that price. Not me but someone will.

“The first time for three girls." I thought this was a family site? 😂
My high school coach bought one of these new in 1988 (technically it was the Mercury Topaz version, but still). It was a true lemon. Lots of constant little problems from day one. When the tie rods went bad, causing her to crash into a light pole - in the first year of ownership - she traded it for a used Corolla. ND…
That is the tiniest special edition badge I’ve ever seen. It’s like Saab was embarrassed to put it on the car.
This car in this color. 1979 Honda Accord hatch. It made Americans believe that a small car was worthy. Good build quality, good mpg. It was like nothing we had seen before.
Man that steering wheel takes me back.
In the late 80s, my mom had the choice of two company cars to drive. A 1976 Ford Maverick or a 1985 Le Baron. She preferred the Maverick. And this is someone who’s only consideration when picking a car was, “will it move my butt around town on errands?”
You forgot THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BUY AMERICAN.
Would I buy this at this price? No. Would someone buy this at this price? Yes. NP.
Does anyone else remember the Trooper commercial where a family decides to spontaneously enter the Paris to Dakar rally? The kids in the back seat with ice cream cones cracked me up every time. Wish I could find that ad.
1974 Subaru. In later models, they were integrated into the corner markers.
My grandfather was a big fan of the ute. But he favored the Ford Ranchero over the El Camino. There are pictures dating back to the 50s with him and his Ranchero. As a not particularly tall man and a farmer he liked that he could reach into the bed to grab whatever he needed. He was a function over form kinda guy. He…
I remember back in ye olden days (Around 1990 or so) when Subaru pretty consistently won awards from Popular Mechanic for building cars that were easy for the home mechanic to work on. Fast forward to today and I can’t find a Haynes or a Chilton manual for my newer cars. Not sure what happened there. Fewer people are…
My band teacher in high school had a 1st gen Voyager. It had the power pop out rear windows. They were a godsend because the AC didn't reach the back seats.
This is pretty much par for the course with this generation Z. It seems like they’re always up on jacks or deteriorating slowly in a garage. My friend’s husband has had one in the garage for 12 years. He swears he’ll get to it someday. Sad. I've always been a fan.
The difference is, the manual makes you feel like you’re in control of the beast. With automatics, you’re just along for the ride.
I always thought a young Tom Hank’s looked like an Isuzu Trooper.
I’m not a car enthusiast. Not in the sense that I expect and desire every car to be a thrilling experience. I’m perfectly ok with most cars so long as they are reasonable at whatever their intended job is. I rented a Sentra about 5 years ago. The CVT was f****ing horrendous. Just pulling forward from a stop, the damn…
But can you bump start it?
Needs a “Lifted because fat girls can’t jump” sticker.
