It’s not. I’m staying a few miles south of there (same county).

I really don’t watch a lot of rom-coms, because they are just *so bad,* but I will watch Leap Year when I’m feeling like a particularly soppy feelings trash fire. Amy Adams is SO endearing and Matthew Goode is SO attractive. And the scenery is nice.

This is one of my ride-or-die movies. I watch this movie for the same reasons other people meditate or return to their hometowns. That gazebo scene, tho.

As someone who grew up in Florida, and was in the Keys for a weekend not too long ago, my kingdom for a show that reflects how unbelievably tacky Florida beach towns are. Everyone has leather skin, basically looks homeless, and is 100% living their best life.

Seriously– I have heard my dad say some weird down home stuff, but I’m calling shenanigans on this one.

I really need to hear more about this spoiler story.

I read The Thorn Birds maybe last year, and really liked it. I love outdoorsy epics. The dudes were all kind of tools, tho. It’s basically smart, capable women beset by fuckbois.

She wasn’t in Now and Then, but she WAS in Drop Dead Gorgeous, one of the best movies ever made.

Oh hush, Bowfinger is hilarious

There’s no rule that charitable acts must be performed by churches. But obviously the efforts of government agencies and private non-profits aren’t enough, or they wouldn’t need churches to supplement them. As someone who has been active in MANY churches my entire life, it’s rare the church that turns the thumbscrews

It bothers me every time I see people say this, because for every mega-church pastor driving home in a Rolls, there are 100 small churches like mine hosting Monday afternoon dinners for homeless folks, collecting funds to pay a single-mother’s light bill, and letting gay teens do really earnest interpretive dances

Yeah, I’ve been active in a UMC for a couple years now, and witnessed this issue. Our leadership would be completely on-board with embracing gay clergy, but the Church says no.

This is already a problem in Georgia. They passed some draconian anti-immigrant law similar to one in Arizona, and now all the food is rotting in the fields, because they have no one to pick it.

Italian dudes are... not great. I went out with one a couple times who was here studying for his MS. He was OK, but his friends (from the many stories he told about them) were absolute douchebags. They had a list of all the ladies’ nights at bars around town. Complete Eurotrash.

A friend of mine suggested the reason Kate took so long to long to agree to marry him was she knew, the second they got hitched, she would be under constant pressure to produce an heir, and she wanted to do a little living before she gave up her life to become a royal figurehead.

The more I read about how ADHD presents itself in adult women, the more I am sure I have it.

Wait, Heather Morris is going to be a “star” not her dancing partner? She was hired to teach the cast the Single Ladies dance. She’s a professional dancer. That seems like a ringer situation.

Yeah, I grew up in the woods, and we got 4-wheelers when I was in high school, and the older I get the more I believe no one under 16 should be allowed to ride them alone. My first job out of college was working for a small local paper. One of the stories that still stands out was writing about a 14-year-old boy who

You can also get two dumbbells (20 pounds or more are usually tall enough) and do push-ups with your hands wrapped around the handle.
