I had an IUD inserted, and it really wasn’t that bad. The doctor prescribed something to soften my cervix, and I took a prescription amount of ibuprofen the night before&morning of. I don’t remember insertion hurting at all. But my uterus did kick up a fuss once it was in there. I had moderate cramps for a couple

I keep seeing photos of this dude, and thinking it’s Healy from OITNB.

I didn’t even think about the post-tenure restrictions. Can you just reject all that once you’re out of the White House? I’m assuming you can’t, simply because they might want to keep you from divulging certain things you learned during your time in office. This is like some Grimm’s Bros fairy tale where the genie

I feel like your certainty that another election would result in a progressive victory shows that you learned nothing from this election.

I don’t disagree, but there were people at the Cooke paper and in the city gov’t who thought the story was fishy. Management ignored them, and submitted it for a Pulitzer anyway. I guess my point is that the editorial chain should have prevented both of these from ever getting as bad as they did.

She’s talked about this somewhere. She was going through a time where she was toeing the edge, and the pain of getting tattooed helped distract from the emotional pain she was experiencing until she could finally get a little breathing room.

Didn’t he also catch a ton of flack a few years ago for likening his dick to the KKK?

I think there’s also a 1945 where it should say 1845.

I’ve interviewed women who worked during WWII, and went downtown in various cities to celebrate, and at least one of them said she and her girlfriends hid in a doorway to get away from guys like this.

This was in a smaller farm town in Florida. Lots of Trump signs.

I’m in my late 20s, and my elementary school sent home permission slips to parents asking whether administrators could paddle their kids if they got out of line. I remember at least one girl who was. I’m pretty sure my parents signed it.

Exactly this. I think American businesspeople are expected to make WAY too many concessions for pushy customers, but I lived in Spain for a semester, and having to grit your teeth through European “customer service” got so old. One of our professors lived in America for a while, and he was like, “Oh yeah, I like

I read that while traveling this summer. So good! And surprisingly feminist!
