I know! John Cena in Marine may have been wooden and uncharismatic, but Robert Patrick and the whole villain crew were great, especially when expressing their frustration at not being able to kill the hero.

Never saw the Cronenberg one but the 2004 one was indeed terrible

Other two awful movies I saw in theaters, and I'm usually pretty generous when it comes to movies, but these . . . Mortal Kombat 2 and Cheaper by the Dozen

Yeah Ang Lee's Hulk- terrible. needed less Stage, more Rage.

Worst (or most upsetting to sit through) in theaters- Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Worst on TV- Coyote Ugly. Worst seen on cable on demand (free)- BvS. Friends and I walked out of Spawn because the shots were so dark you couldn't see what was going on.

WDCA Channel 20 . . hmmm hadn't thought of that in a while. I remember that UHF dial below the channel selecting dial. Rushing home from the schoolbus stop to catch shows like Land of the Lost and Far-Out Space Nuts, and some cartoon where there was a barbarian and a guy who could walk through lava. . .And wasn't

Japanese shochu (distilled liquor) from barley or sweet potato is delicious. Makkoli of Korea is delicious. A high end rye whiskey is delicious. Even certain Virginia corn mash can be delicious. I enjoyed them from the first taste. Liquor in gallon plastic jugs from the corner store will not compare.

When I fly south I get Church's chicken

Is Popeye's now going to be part of the inversion to avoid US taxes by being with Horton's headquartered in Canada?

Star War: the sevens gather: the impels you arousal

Huh? I just checked the music video on youtube. Where's the version with Joel and the bots?

Whatever it wants!

Worstest to less worse: Attack of the Clones- completely terrible

he could do the ringside commentary in a little 'box' in the corner of the screen

The Pacific Rim 2 that I would like to see has the defenders of the earth: Godzilla and King Kong, fighting alongside the Jaegers and jet-pack soldiers, against interdimensional kaiju that are more varied than in the first film. On the bad-guy side I want to see crustacean-type kaiju, pteranadon-looking kaiju,

Yes, I agree. One film I thought broke a few tropes well for martial arts films of that era is, surprisingly, a film with Jean Claude Van Damme called Lionheart. One of my favorite scenes is when during a fight, the villain strikes a pose to make some pronouncement- and just as he starts to speak the hero interrupts

I couldn't help hoping Gruber and co would win- I mean that Ode to Joy scene was great. But if I remember the movie accurately the ending was silly for two reasons: one, the sidekick cop shoots the villain and its all a triumphant "Yay, he can kill again!" and two, McClane is just able to walk off with his wife
