Way more protection and less chance of a high impact crash. On a bicycle? Mountain any day. On a road bicycle you have zero protection aside from a helmet, and you’ll be going…

This may be a dumb question, but is it normal in these super(hyper)cars with a dual clutch to downshift into 1st gear at those speeds? Almost all of my non-automatic experience has been in a traditional manual where that’s a no no.

The right gear probably helps. On cycles, you are wearing very little. my experience is that roads aren’t as forgiving as even packed dirt.

I can sleep through anything under a magnitude of 5. And though it was above that threshold, I slept through the Northridge quake in 1994 (probably because I had gotten really drunk that night).
