It’s not that, it’s just minimizing risk. Those other nameplates are ones that are likely to continue on to a next generation of them beyond this generation. Those production lines have future value. And for the Lan Cruiser, RC and LC, they have shared foundations, components, etc with other Toyota/Lexus models, none

Holy shit there are a lot of miserable people on here today. Lewis didn’t show up so he didn’t care, it’s a PR stunt, yada, yada.

That’s exactly right. They’re on a metaphorical island.

I wonder if they have to stand on a stool.

If you look at the photo caption you’ll see the “artwork” was created by Torch.  It isn’t a picture of an actual event.

In what world was this quote ever true?

If it is a 2+2 SL, that’s a very smart decision.  May be able to cannibalize some of the 911 cabrio drivers with a back seat.

One bone to pick - I don’t think this robotaxi thing is going to have some massive impact on traffic.

I think this is one step after he started having his lovers pee on the canvases.

Because this is likely being taken by a “security officer” (mall cop) and the likelihood they have access to the system to export a mezzanine quality rendition is about nil. Plus it’s an SD CCTV feed, it’s not like this is the World Cup final, we’re not missing some incredible detail that exists in the source material.

My money is Michigan.  No way this POS even gets out of state before it all goes horribly wrong.

He already pulled the same joke on Conan so it seems possible.

Yes and no.  If you put race tires (even DOT race tires on) that passenger car, those PSI ratings can change significantly.  In that instance you will likely be buying from a race shop or trackside vendor and they should be able to help you out.

Lol exactly.  Manhattan doesn’t have a “main street” where all these mom and pop stores are thriving off of foot traffic.  You have corporations, restaurants, bodegas and souvenir stores and that’s about it.  None of those are going to be impacted 1 iota by this.

But that’s exactly my point.  At any level you will have people on both sides, you’re just adjusting the mix.  But if people choose to not drive, you are saving on infrastructure costs (mass transit is far cheaper per person to maintain) and if people choose to pay the tax, you are adding revenue.  Wherever the tax

That’s not entirely true. It can definitely do both, just among different populations.

But who cares what somebody else thinks. I think the point of her post is that different people enjoy cars in different ways.

I haven’t seen many 500Es anywhere near the 100k range. Ones in good, not concours, condition with normal mileage are trading in the 30k range pretty consistently.  At those prices they’re still a decent value IMO.

No, but they get tested to ensure (hopefully) they have those skills.  Lots of people never take another driving test in their entire life after that point.  The cognitive decline, the motor skill degradation, all of the things that run our human bodies down take place between 16 and death.  And we are never tested

It’s only because of the departure of Leblanc and Reid. They filmed a short season and then are releasing this new one in just a few months with the new cast.  So you can almost think of it as 2 half-seasons since you’re not going to wait a whole year in between.
