So you’ve driven it?
So you’ve driven it?
Agree, this is so incredibly common on any car over 20 years old. Every single user group of a car over 20 years old that has an analog clock definitely has a tutorial on how to fix it.
Also, I thought it was pretty clear that I was talking about the 2.7 since I specifically called out the SC as being a great stock car.
Ok, let me clarify the 2.7 G series is not worth crying over. Which is exactly the years they use as the foundation for these because they are so cheap on the open market.
The G body is really not a great car. They had tons of issues, they suffered the malaise era like everyone else, they had awful impact bumpers (here in the US). I’m a big Porsche guy, but I have no problem with using these things as a base.
I’ll also say that it’s important to NOT have power steering plus. That’s the “feature” where it reduces wheel effort enormously at low speeds but really just makes it feel number.
So strange. I DD a 991.1 and I think the whole electric steering thing is overblown.
Really? I’ve done the mid vs rear thing at PECLA a couple times (and admittedly I’m a biased 991 owner) but there was no point in time when I was in the Cayman GTS where I didn’t want to be back in the 991 S. Although I admit part of that is the components - the 991 has far better brakes, tires, suspension which are…
Yeah it’s up in the north in Snowdonia. a lot of beautiful landscapes, mountains, etc. Great driving area when the roads aren’t littered with idiot drivers.
I was in Betws-y-Coed, it was called Plath Hall. It seems to be for sale every few years so you could probably buy it now lol.
It is. Although it was a flare up from an ember, not the actual major fire path. The FD was able to extinguish it within less than an hour thankfully.
That is such a Welsh accident. We owned a B&B there for a few years and the locals would just do the strangest shit. Who does a 3 point turn in the middle of a blind curve (or on a road at all)?
Me too.
Exactly, I ran Chris McMillan’s salon in BH while I was in college and there was a list of people 6 months long waiting to give him 600 bucks for an hour of his time. I could probably rattle off 20 hairdressers that I know personally who are easily pulling in 500k+ annually.
I know a lot of hairdressers that can afford an Aston Martin, let alone a Z4. In major cities, for in-demand hairdressers, it isn’t uncommon for them to charge 250/cut.
Herculean effort? No, this would never go to court. They would settle for nuisance value, worst case.
It’s such a great car to drive. I had the luck to drive a lot of great cars during that era but the Z8 is just so damn special. Hot take: it’s way more fun and special to drive than the M5 who it shares a drivetrain with.
A Mazdaspeed3 is loud and brash? And near 30 is old?
Bodies. Lots of bodies.
I SO wish I could order one with a backseat. If I could, I’d be DD’ing right now. They are just sublimely incredible.
