Ha, that’s amazing I didn’t know there was a term for it, I was a Shabbos Goy. Learn something every day.

The Eruv reminds me of an old pet peeve of mine. I used to work as a bellman at a luxury hotel in Beverly Hills. And for those who haven’t been to BH, there is a very large jewish population that not only lives there, but visits there. And every Saturday we would have a number of guests who would head down in the…
I had a feeling that might be the case. I probably don’t pay a lot of attention when Ford Fusions are being transported it would seem.
I don’t know the actual answer to your question but I can say that I’ve never seen a car being transported (brand new at least) that wasn’t covered in that white or blue plastic film (similar to a new iPhone screen) all over, including the wheels.
With in-demand LE cars there is little harm in trying to get a big markup on it. You might not get the big markup, but worst case scenario if you don’t sell it within the first 3 months, you now have a car which is even rarer (because the people who weren’t trying to snag a giant payday have already sold their…
Yep, same with MB (even the legendary W123 uses them), BMW, etc. It was incredibly common in that era. Still a hell of a lot better than a belt IMO.
Is it as bad as Kars 4 Kids? Cause I’m stoked I just put that in your head now.
Why involve one if you didn’t? Early 2000s Honda Civics have been among the nations most stolen cars for a long time for two reasons - they are common and they are easy as shit to steal.
That’s so strange you post that. I actually watched Police Academy the other night on Crackle (who knew that still existed?) for the first time in decades and had some similar thoughts. It also wasn’t close to as funny as I remember it and there were more than a few cringeworthy moments for a 2018 viewer.
Clearly this is something beyond simple theft. There is almost certainly a relationship between the owner and the forklift driver. Nobody is going to go to all that trouble to plan out a theft like this and then burn it when you could far more easily just steal another early 2000s Honda Civic, it’s not like they’re…
The S550 has never used a V12. The only version of the S550 that even had a turbo was the W222 (which would still be under warranty most likely as they were first sold in 2014) so I highly doubt somebody was changing the turbo on it.
I’d say based on the wheels and lack of the usual wing/front fascia of a Turbo, it’s a 992.1 GTS.
My buddy bought a car that belonged to Jon Voigt, a beautiful Chrysler Lebaron convertible. While we never came close to any propane-related mishaps, our other friend Jerry was almost beat up by some street toughs while trying to flee the Lebaron, but his cowboy boots almost certainly were the real reason he almost…
I’m glad they’re trying to do *something* with it. The history of the Continental brand is why they brought it back in the first place, so it makes a lot of sense to bring back the legendary 60s version most notable feature.
There’s a dealership in LA that has been leasing them for about $500/mo with almost nothing down for years now. They were popular for about 3 months, then they had an insane amount of stock on hand and they pile a TON of cash on the hood of each one to get it out the door.
Ugh, I live off of Mulholland (close enough but not NEARLY as nice or expensive) so I’m really dreading the commute home tonight.
Depends on the car. My wife’s car, while nice (GLE 43), is primarily used to shuttle kids around. So in her car, we’re ok with food to a point.
In the early 2000s, it was the Sebring convertible and for the last decade or so it’s been the mustang vert.
Looks like something Alex Delarge would drive.
So, I imagine you have a pretty handy list of dealers who are good to work with and those who aren’t. And I imagine a lot of us here probably have some experience with a few dealers in our areas. We should create a site (or a portion of this site) that is like ratemyprofessor but for dealers. And they could be rated…
