Exactly right. If your VIN is affected and they can’t get it fixed because of part availability, demand a loaner until they can. A lot of people have had success with that.

I live in those LA canyons (right off Mulholland) and that is the part of my commute every day that brings me joy.
While I don’t agree with the original poster here at all, it’s pretty well known that some of their biggest songs are straight ripoffs or borrow VERY heavily from other artists without giving credit. They weren’t the only ones of their era to do so, but they were probably the most egregious.
So bad Smart designers/engineers strike again huh? First they almost kill poor Julie, now they’re advertising that the occupants can’t get it up.
But in the course of making that “football move,” he lost control. Just like if a receiver in the middle of the field goes to take a step upfield and loses control during the course of making that move, it’s an incompletion, not a fumble.
It didn’t cause a fumble though, it caused an incompletion. He made a football move and in the carrying out of that football move, he lost control of the ball. And in order for that to be a completion, if you make that football move, you need to control it through the duration of that move, which he didn’t.
It’s a 2013 C2, MSRP was something like 110k originally. I actually think it was a great deal since 991.1's seem to be holding value because people don’t like the 991.2 as much. I had been watching prices for about a year and this one showed up right as I was turning my AMG lease in and I snapped it up. They had it…
Lol. I was trying to say it in a way that suggested I make a pretty decent amount of money and I would still hesitate spending that kind of money on a car. The takeaway being that if I would give pause to that, I can’t imagine an American who wasn’t as fortunate as I have been, who would look at that price and think…
I believe you mean Festiva-s
That’s insane. Not to be immodest but I make well into the 6 figures and I just dropped 59k on a CPO 991 and even that gave me pause. How the hell are most Americans supposed to afford these cars? Is this just the automakers bilking every last cent out of everyone until the autonomous car revolution destroys them?
In my limited experience, the cars I’ve owned with the longest lasting paint has been Mercedes and Porsche. The 2 Chevys I owned lasted a laughably short amount of time before serious issues. But it also may be that I take *way* better care of the more expensive cars I’ve owned recently compared to when I was…
Agree, I feel like I see more E36s than anything, probably because they’re still cheap and often poorly maintained.
Did you at least top off the blinker fluid afterwards?
I doubt that Ford V8 has a very vulgar display of power left in it.
Based on the title, I was expecting a 3WD M5.
It’s really hard to tell. The guys videos him starting an out lap. It would’ve been much more useful if he recorded the driver coming through turn 9, down the front straight and into turn 1.
Agree, there’s no shortage of amazing pinstripers in LA who could do this job. Hell, it’s even a pretty simple one, probably won’t cost more than a couple hundred bucks.
You could dig it up but it’s a very different industry today. When GM started you didn’t have worker protection laws, safety laws, safety testing standards, etc. It’s kinda like how HBO was able to grow from a small cable channel to a juggernaut. Building HBO today would cost billions upon billions of dollars with…
It’s the same old scam. Same thing that sports teams do when they hold a city hostage for hundreds of millions of dollars and force them to spend the next 30 years paying off the debt of a private enterprise.
Very true. You see this in multiple industries. Netflix, while losing billions a year, gets treated like a tech company, not a media company. If Disney spent as wildly as Netflix, investors would revolt. Same thing with Tesla/other car manufacturers.
