It’s so true. I looked at getting one as a “fun” car but the values are astronomical.

You can buy a very clean 2000 911 with IMS retrofit for not that much more than that (I’ve seen some great examples around 18k before negotiating) and you wouldn’t be buying someone else’s project. It might be fine but A) it’s not as good-looking, B) can’t handle kids in case that matters to you, C) it’s a porsche…
The answer for every parent of no more than 2 kids is always the 911.
They did a waze pack for the launch of TGT. When there was a cop ahead you heard Jezza’s voice saying something like “both hands on the wheel, pretend you weren’t speeding.”
That Porsche in the lead picture just sold on BaT I believe, maybe they can bring it to the event.
He followed the trailer to the dealer while riding Gregory Peck’s bicycle.
I’m pretty sure it is a corvette but the proportions scream NSX to me for some reason.
The only tax reform I care about is the AMT. And even though I am affected by it, I’m not opposed to it existing; those that make more should contribute more. The problem I have with it is that it is 250k/year whether you’re filing single or joint. With two incomes it is very easy for a lot of people we wouldn’t…
I sure hope somebody making 120k/year isn’t spending 2-3k on a car each month. I don’t want to reveal my household income but it far exceeds those numbers and I still wouldn’t be comfortable dropping 3k/month on a car.
They are indeed very stout. I had a CLA45, which I just sold, but I drove the living hell out of that thing and it never complained. At a meet up I talked to a mechanic who builds race engines and he said opening it up it looked like a built race engine in there, not like something remotely close to mass produced.
Ahh that makes sense. With the unibody construction I can see that being such a massive labor fee, it could easily push it into that territory.
When I lived in Texas, there seemed to be a yearly event for every dealer who were selling cars at huge hail discounts. Never saw any totaled that i can remember but if it destroys enough of the bodywork and glass, I can see it happening I suppose.
I say thank god for Carmax. I’ve unloaded a few cars there to get out of a lease early of even make a couple grand that I wouldn’t have previously. If the system works for their buyers, that’s all the better for me - even though I’ve never bought anything from them.
I hope none of these people work in data science. They all basically operate on the premise that a sample size of 1 is sufficient enough to draw actionable conclusions.
My wife has a GLE43 which has this but since it’s not touch-enabled it doesn’t bother me much (it’s also better integrated). The only car I think does it well that I’ve driven is the Porsche 991 Carrera. Because it’s such a small cockpit, it’s the only car I’ve driven where the touchscreen is easily reached and…
You can get the leather dash option even on CLAs, I had it on my CLA45. It comes with the Recaro seats option.
I’ve been using AT&T call protect for about 9 months now. It’s free but easily one of the most valuable apps I have. So many scammers ignore the DND lists, so it’s really the best defense I have against them and it works a VERY high percentage of the time properly. Really sucks that Verizon and Sprint want you to…
Where do you live in CA? In Los Angeles, I can only name a couple neighborhoods with HOAs, and those are ones like Mulholland Estates and other gated neighborhoods which the normals can’t afford.
Maybe in Texas. In Los Angeles (which is quite a large city), the only HOAs I’ve ever seen are those attached to gated subdivisions, which is a TINY percentage of the housing market.
Because that’s the point is to make it uncomfortable. If it’s easily ignorable, it keeps people in their little worlds where these things don’t really happen.
