Race cars can have FAR more aero because they can attach wings and splitters to the cars that are illegal on road cars (mostly because of pedestrian impact laws).

Same. I haven’t had plates on any car in the last 12 years. When the dealer asks if I’d like to have the plate holder installed at the first service (whenever I buy a new car), I politely decline.

The only reason I wrenched on cars was because I couldn’t afford to pay anyone to do it when I was younger. Motorcycles I still did the work on for the most part until I stopped riding (but i had much more experience there and they’re far simpler).

Every MB V12 is a bad idea. They rarely offer significantly more performance (even the AMG 65s), they’re always less reliable, heavier, and they cost a shit ton more. The only time to buy a V12 AMG engine is when it happens to live inside a Pagani.

Oh god, don’t do it. The performance isn’t much better than the 500 and it’s far less reliable, much more expensive to find parts for (they didn’t make many) and heavier. My Indy mechanic charges extra just to work on them they’re such a pain (very tight engine compartment apparently).

The worst part is it is installed on almost every one of their cars above 50k that you’ll find on the lot. We have two cars with them and there is no way to turn it off (that I’m aware of at least) and if I wanted my cars without them, I would’ve had to special order them.
