Really? I’ve done two of those Cadillac test drive things out in Fontana, similar ones for the Corvette and BMW (some autocross, some stuff on the high banked oval, some infield) as well as the AMG driving academy (free with purchase and much more in-depth). The steering feedback was nice on the ATS-V, but in every

I am also staunchly anti-camping. Hell, if a politician ran on an anti-camping platform, they would have my vote, no matter how batshit insane they are in reality.

Fuck, choosing an MG 1100 over a 190SL? That hurts in every sense of the word.

I’m a giant L&O fan, I’ve seen every episode at least a bajillion times. And Jerry Orbach has always been my favorite (followed closely by Sam Waterston and Steven Hill).

I grew up in CA, moved to TX as a teenager and then back to CA in my late teens. I always found it hilarious that the folks in texas who are so fond of calling CA “the people’s republic of CA” can’t even buy liquor outside of these weird stores that always seem to be closed. You would think that a state as proud as

Haha very cool! It would be even cooler if it was a Caterham you were racing though (although not sure how many classes that would fit into in SoCal).

Yep, you can buy one here if you live in SoCal. Along with lots of other cool cars.

Wow, the old GM build quality conversation sure fired some folks up. I’m lucky enough to DD an AMG so my only exposure to GM is when Hertz inevitably gives me one on my many business trips. Having said that, I don’t think the build quality is terrible, they feel finely made (my first car was a ‘95 camaro, now THAT

Now playing

Chevrolet’s fixing to do the same for Silverado.

It’s funny, if 20 year-old me saw what 36 yo me made, he would think I was rich as hell. But after you pay a mortgage, lease payments, child care, school tuition, etc, etc it’s insane how little is left.

Really? LA has the best property taxes, only 1.1%. Plus, they only seem to update their numbers when a house is sold so I’m effectively paying about 1/4 of what I should be in property taxes.

Exactly. Hell, I think even the track day stuff is a little “loose” in what they allow on track. I understand that we need to get more people to the track, but I have seen far fewer incidents at race practice days than track days, not just because they are racers but because everything is safety-wired and tech’d to a

The periodontist?

Yeah but that’s gonna go for upper-30s at least when it’s all said and done. If it was as clean as this one, it would be upper 40s most likely.

I was just referring to the other guy’s comment about using the 1" brick facade on the outside. While many homes in the US do indeed have a brick facade, all but the very cheapest DO use real brick for the facade. I’ve only ever seen that 1" brick shaving shit used indoors but I’m sure somebody has tried to save a

Really? I look at the side creases and the front end and all I see is Q7.

Maybe in a super-cheap builder basic house but every brick house I’ve seen or owned was real brick, including newer construction (still a veneer over wood framing but real brick not the 1" thick stuff).

Well it’s a 2+2 so I’ve seen plenty of people with kids who own them (usually people like me who only have to take the kids in their car every once in a while). I don’t personally know of any celebs who have one, but I’m sure plenty do, it’s a great car.

Oh I have no doubt it sells massively in other markets. I was only saying that I’ve only seen the data in terms of volume as it pertains to SoCal.

For the market it is going after, yes it sells very well. I only know the data for Los Angeles though so I can’t stand by it being a volume seller outside SoCal.
