It uses the same trans stalk and setup as the AMG GLA it looks like. If it functions the same, when you put it into N and shut off the car, the E-brake is immediately applied for you. If you then open the door, it puts it into park for you as well.

Yep very true. Last time I checked only something like <10% of electric use, even in winter, is for heating. Whereas with AC, there is almost no other way to achieve it (swamp coolers is all I can think of and they still use SOME electricity), especially on the large scale of industrial buildings.
Totally agree. I really have no idea their motivation, especially in CA where the laws are even stricter around energy creation.
I dunno man, I admit I drive an AMG daily so I’m a little biased but on a recent business trip I got stuck with a 2016 Chevy Malibu Limited. It was brand new, 7 miles on the ODO. First off, it should be criminal to badge that car as a “limited” model. It had literally no bluetooth, no satellite radio, no backup…
it would be better you’re right but that means you have to get the utilities on board. in LA, almost all of us have DWP and they don’t buy back excess power. And since you use more energy at night than during the day at your home (if you’re a regular 9-5 type person), the times when you are actually using energy are…
I totally had one of those when I was a kid. Spencer’s Gifts FTW! If only I had a modicum of racing talent to go along with my novelty purchase.
That thing you’ve sketched is called a Prius V. It looks nearly identical.
There will be a tent show in SoCal. I can’t really share my source on that but I promise it’s true.
The middle school I attended right after the explosion was renamed McAuliffe Middle School for her. I don’t think she taught there but damn it was creepy to think about that every time you saw the name.
Iran Contra affair. It was pretty close to the Challenger (which I think all of us of a certain age watched live in school) timeline-wise but it is the first major event I remember.
But like Jimi Hendrix, the right person can make “wrong” ever so right.
The Isle of Man and the Mugello GP are the top two items on my bucket list. I pray they don’t ever let it change until I can see it in person.
The challenger was SO bad they replaced it with a Buick? Damn, that car must be awful.
I know I’m a pedant but those are initialisms not acronyms since they cannot be pronounced as a word like SCUBA (with the exception of SHO).
So true. After I sold my last motorcycle I decided to pick up a classic 380SL for a song and it offers a lot of what I was missing from the MC side of the world without the inconvenience and danger that comes with them.
Exports are going to have to pay tax. Yet England imports far more than they export. They stand to financially improve with this.
2 girls, one flute?
Yup. Same with MB. That’s the difference between a company with good designers/engineers and an FCA.
The mercedes version changes it self into park if you open the drivers door. Same goes for the traditional console-mounted trans they use on the AMGs. That’s the difference between a smart company and FCA.
