That thing is a massively heavy folding hard top, which pushes the CoG higher than any coupe. You could say every convertible is a coupe when the top is up, but that really isn't the case now is it?

I love a convertible as much as the next guy (my "fun" car is a 1984 380SL), but my ex had one of these and I just hated driving it. It was a pig that wasn't even comfortable (unlike my in-laws RX350 which, while boring, is comfy as hell).

It's decently common feature to be added to a race car (or motorcycle for that matter) for it to be driver-adjustable.

You have two problems here:

2014 is the first year that's ever been true and it's also the year that had two massive recall campaigns (GM ignitions, Takata airbags), so this report is anecdotal at best. Were this trend to continue for multiple years then I would start to worry.

Not in the US market though. Euro only as far as I know.

You can get an actual 2.3-16 cosi for this kind of money, so why would you get this fake racecar instead? CP all day, somebody just restored something not worth restoring.

It better not be that overrated truck stop known as Rudy's. Every time I go to SXSW, I fall for it and am always disappointed in how regular it is.

Then something odd happened because when I replied to you, the only thing that existed was the "4. Many used cars from ..."

Well, you've completely changed your post, so there's that.

I HIGHLY doubt this. Warranties are longer now than they ever have been, manufacturers wouldn't do that if it meant they were going to losing money offering them.

Did you try resetting it? Every car I've had with TPMS allows you to set the baseline for what the proper PSI should be by filling the tires to that PSI and then resetting it.

The best kind of these emergency roadside repairs are when they involve almost no tools or parts, and you only had some gum, a piece of something you hope wasn't a condom, some soda can aluminum, and a vague memory of a MacGyver episode.

This one is easy:

Yeah it left me stranded. Luckily it was a new car under warranty, but basically I spent most of 2009 driving a 3-series loaner car instead of my 535i. BMWs are great fun to drive but the whole experience soured me on the brand. Nowadays I have a C63 and frankly, that is the most fun I have ever had on 4 wheels.

That is probably a better car. The 535i had the notorious HPFP problems of the N54 engine as well as a electronic transmission that was prone to failure. I had both of those problems, multiple times and in the end BMW just bought it back from me.

2008 BMW 535i. Fuck that POS. It is the reason my family only buys MBs these days.

I *think* the issue is that the store itself is run by and employs Hudson staff. So, he wants to enforce the brand standards and Hudson, being the bottom of the barrel employers that they are, only want to hire rejects from the DMV. In this sense it is similar to how concessions work at a stadium.

To me, I think the Alpina B7 is more of what you're describing here than this ever was/is. That is a truly upgraded car with real power and suspension, wheels, etc. This is barely different than the non-M-sport version.

I'm sure the Rolling Stones gave explicit permission to use their logo in the header, seems legit.
