Beating of his life? He didn't even get punched once as far as I can tell.

Pretty impressive but my god is that guy stupid for doing all those rollovers without a roll cage.

Really, this whole column could've been one line: "In the land of no speed cameras you don't have to drive like a pussy."

Well, I think it all depends on where you live. In Los Angeles (where I live), the public school system is in shambles. So, for me, I don't view it as an optional expense. I may be considered "upper middle class" but I'm definitely not rich and this is not unusual for peers of mine and my wife's.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, they are amazing cars and the engineering is impressive, but they are far from "set it and forget it." They still require just as much maintenance as any other classic car but the components do seem to last longer - that is true.

I agree they are great, but there are also some issues with them. I have a 1984 R107 (380SL) and for much of the 70s and 80s, MB assembled the cars before painting them so there are many parts of the car that are bare metal - and therefore inclined to rust. Luckily, I live in CA and so our cars rarely fall

Ferrari sold 3x as many 458s as they did Californias in 2013 so I have to disagree with that.

This is something I hate. People (not saying you in particular) act like the M5 sounds awful now and without the sound system, it would be silent. The reality is that it is still quite loud, very throaty and sounds incredible when you're outside of the car (where the stereo has zero affect).

Really? You must have a hell of a mirror if it can show you how far your bumper is from the object behind you. Most of us could live without them, but I wouldn't buy a car without one ever again, they're just way too useful.

On our race bikes, we always used to tape over the speedo completely so that you wouldn't focus on the speed but rather the gear you're in and the RPMs. Then on top of that we would put in giant letters "GP SHIFT" so that nobody blew the engine by downshifting at 9k RPMs.

Most schools don't let you send your kids to school with nut products because of nut allergies. But those same schools are cool with you not vaccinating your kids. That's what is so fucking insane.

BMW does this all the time. They bought mine back. And then sold it again and I learned from the dealer they bought it back yet again.

Ok, but there is no reason why they couldn't have gotten 200 hp out of the engine AND lost the same weight (or at least close). It's not as if you can only choose one or the other.

Yeah but try tracking one of those and you'll be seeing CEL lights constantly. Of course, that is why god invented duct tape - just cover that shit up.

Oooh separate incidents?!

Employment is at-will. He can say "I quit!" and walk out the door whenever he wants and they can fire him whenever they want. Regardless of everything else, they can just fire him because they don't like him (as long as he isn't a member of a protected class and that led to the firing).

You're not that far off actually. At one point I was a valet and while we were mostly very kindhearted people, occasionally you would get that asshole who was just a total dick to you. So we would write their name in a logbook and next time that car came in, it got "the special." And the special basically just

They are amazing, AMAZING cars. It's one of those things that only makes sense once you've owned/driven one. Hell, even the last couple generations were fantastic, but this one is truly a quantum leap forward.

Lol, of course you post on the Gt3 Cup article. So predictable.

I was speaking of K-12 tuition. College is just an extension on that burden lol.
