On Archer the joke would be how stupid making a Proust joke would me

The crime-solving bitch!

If I deliberately shoot at someone and miss, technically nobody has been harmed, but I’m still guilty of attempted murder. It’s insane that Republicans are trying to excuse fraud, an actual crime, because there’s “no victim.” That’s not how fraud works!

It’s weird to see the AV Club suggesting that Brosnan successively found the magical combination of words that proves his apology is sincere and now everyone is bringing too much of their own perspective to it when it seems way more likely that we’re cool with this because the offense was relatively minor and didn’t

When you are under 30, everything is new and you yourself just did the world a huge favor by discovering it and letting them know about it.

I’m all in for the same reason. I don’t read much non-fiction, but I could not put Manhunt down when I read it almost 15 years ago. Just as long as they include the part where the guy who killed JWB self-castrates, holds the Kansas House of Representatives hostage at gunpoint, goes to live in a hole, and then

Even worse: nü AV Club.

Manhunt is one of my favorite historical books, written in a way that would make a great movie or TV show, so I had high hopes for this.  I’ll judge for myself because....AVClub.

I don’t know if anyone cares to have that conversation given that you brought it up to illustrate a point, not to provoke my dumb knee-jerk. But I find the whole anti-witch-narrative argument to be immensely frustrating. The only reason to find witch narratives objectionable is that there’s a history of idiots taking

This means we’re six months away from ABC announcing their new show about a sassy robot.

He has a podcast!!!! Oh then he must be famous! Either that or he’s every third white guy in America.

EVERY Gene Simmons interview is gross.

I don’t know much the situation, but it reminds me of the Raylan Givens quote from Justified:

Kim Matula as Jane Curtin

She’s just....there.  That’s the most kind thing I can say for her ‘acting’ skills.  She’s ‘there’ and I guess that sort of counts for something?  People keep putting her in stuff for some reason (though I guess for three of those films it was ‘she’s willing to when most others aren’t, and her mom and dad are famous’).

Neither. It’s more “boring waste of time.” Imagine a train derailing at 3 mph, such that only one car is slightly askew and no one is even injured.

‘AI’ could never write a movie with as much complexity and emotional depth as *checks notes* Cocaine Bear.

Couldn’t disagree more with Rudy being #1, but I know I’m in the minority so I can accept it. HOWEVER, how do you completely leave off Necessary Roughness?

The Replacements is a glaring omission.
