That is exactly what he's saying. You install the Plex media server on your pc anywhere on your network then you're free to stream your media to any Plex compatible device.

This comment is awesome!

I see what you mean and it makes perfect sense. I, unfortunately it's the same for many people, don't work at a place I love. I hope to one day get there and I'm slowly working on it but until then, the bills have to get paid. (=

I hate to be that guy but I liked your article (post) better then the actual article.

"Happy employees make better beer."

I wouldn't write the LH crew off that quickly. It's a solid idea. I think they'd be willing to take that approach if they see that people are truely interested in the idea.

That would work out great for non-Ikea cabinets. I recently remodeled my kitchen and used Ikea cabinets. Their cabinets use legs and the toe kick snaps on to the legs. So there'd be no void under the bottom cabinet.

The spying is a bit over the top but as far as not discussing your work at home. That's pretty standard. For example. My wife and I both work at the same bank. We don't talk about work at home. I understand that she works on things she can't talk to me about and the same goes for me. On top of all that, it's work!

That's a really good idea. I'm liking this standing desk idea. I'll have to hit up Ikea and hack myself up a nice standing desk. Thank you for all the suggestions everyone!

"I suppose that the store you are using it has to support NFC payments right?"

"MPAA Chairman and former Senator from Connecticut Chris Dodd"

The source article doesn't mention any third party controller support. I know the desktop, Honeycomb and set top box clients support the 360 controller without hassle. I'd love for this support to be available on GoogleTV devices as well.

The acrylic motherboard base that he used. Is that something custom made or did he purchase it from somewhere? I might have missed it when I read the source but I don't think I saw it.

"if you don't have the balls to play with your technology on a stage, then your tech is not really ready for deployment."

I have the original Sony Google TV Bluray and in my opinion the controller/remote is shit. I replaced it with a keyboard from the Logitech Revue using their unifying receive. Works like a charm now! I just miss being able to hot key apps like I did on the Revue.

I'm wondering the same thing about the customization. I'm guessing since they got to their update so quickly that the bloat is at a minimum. Hopefully they stay on course in order to keep the updates coming quickly.

Wow thank you for the great reply! I was messing around with it today and it seems to have improved. There's still a slightly longer delay when it's at an angle so that might have been part of my issue. I most likely had it too flat.

Come on Verizon!

I look forward to the day I can hadouken my TV on and off.

Ok maybe I'm just not thinking right. When using a standing desk do you use it to stand all day long or do you use it with a bench so you can stand for a bit, sit back down, etc?
