So you say that it will bring more attention to streaming as a whole, but you fail to see how that would help streamers... In an industry where views and attention are money....

If you’re a big advertiser and the first time you purchase an ad on a platform it outperforms the projected views, purchases, viewership, whatever metric you’re using, etc... then you are more likely to use that format or platform again. Other advertisers including your competition are more likely to see this and…

It really isn’t. More money will come to streaming as a format if larger advertisers acknowledge it as a valid marketing platform.
That said, having no choice but to advertise for potential rivals is crap and needs to stop.
