I run similarly but i would say why pick your foot/knee up so high? All that is wasted energy. Ive had a few stubbed toes but gliding my feet low to the ground is more energy efficient than lifting up like stepping over a log. Also keeping feet lower helps to stay on toes/forefoot instead of heel.
