Great article. It really can’t be overstated how much worse the P-R pavé is than any of the cobbled sectors are in Flanders. The P-R cobbles are often referred to as “babies’ heads.”
I could easily see Sagan’s cobbled classics campaign this year marking the beginning of a post-Cancellara/Boonen reign of terror over those races for the next 5 or so years provided he remains sufficiently motivated and doesn’t get too bogged overthinking the tactics.
