I was just about to ask, is anything new on it, or is it just a facelift?

Much smaller, though.

They're talking about the other engine.

Amen. Luckily, I still have a dipstick, and I carry 2 quarts of Mobil 1's finest, LL-01 approved "European Car Formula" at all times.

I went on a lunch run between my last post and this one and noticed a new lurch under power going uphill, along with the "you need to add oil soonish, it's not imminent, but put some in next time you fill up" light (I speak fluent BMW, so many lights have different LEDs under them for red, yellow, blinking yellow,

My bimmer has them, but they're not big enough for nearly any coffee cups. Definitely not a coffee mug. As the old adage goes - drive in the car, drink in the bar.

If you use your wipers a lot, yes, even if you buy special Rain-X wipers, it eventually turns to mayonnaise on your windshield. Only recommended for people who don't use their wipers a lot.

Ha! Lots of great stuff here. I used to have a Toyota T100 and I believe it had the "CLUTCH START CANCEL" button too. My b-word has no such button, and it makes me nervous - the clutch-start-switch must live somewhere on the clutch pedal assembly, and that clutch pedal goes in and out, in and out, cycled tons of times

Thanks for the thorough report.

Now, I don't mean to say that you can't consult the forums when you're thinking about a normal car. For example: believe it or not, there actually is a Toyota Highlander forum, and it's reasonably active. But the issues are more like: "Check out how funny my Golden Retriever looks in the driver seat of my Highlander!"

"Piano Black" is the new woodgrain: PUT IT EVERYWHERE, IT MAKES THE MASSES FEEL RIIIIIIIIIICH!

I test drove one of those about 7 or 8 years ago so I don't remember, what was the back seat like? Any legroom? What I'm actually asking is, is there enough space between the rear row and the front seats so that I won't have to slide my seat (I'm tall!) forward with a rear-facing child seat behind me?

Hello, friend. Me too. I have a 6 speed manual X3 with an inline 6.

I have this setup in our early Bronco - if you're using the pedals a lot, you're probably in town, and shouldn't be using your brights. If you're using your brights, you're probably cruising, and don't need to use the left pedal.

I'd like to nominate intake manifolds as the #1 thing we shouldn't make out of plastic

in the "sex sells" days of the early jet age.

It's not like Lincoln's made a bad crossover here — but I just can't figure out exactly who really would want this car. It's not quite practical or usable enough to be a good premium family car — I mean, it could work, but there's certainly better choices.

So, there's still some brand-snob appeal to the Lincoln badge, the car is fairly handsome, it has all the toys and gizmos you'd likely want, but I'm still not exactly sure who this car is for. Generally, I'm okay with small crossovers in that they seem to be the magic sauce needed to get Americans to accept hatchbacks

2007 Honda Civic, for starters

They're more focusing on selling cars to old people. Every Liiiinnnncooooln interior is obviously designed for old people. Not for young people, or middle-aged businesspeople.
