Thanks Tom! Still holding on to "the B-word," as I lovingly refer to it, but you've really got me thinking about a 3 pedal Accord when the time comes.
This video made me sad that you can't buy a truly BIG car any more. Even the Impala / Taurus chassis are cockpitted and have the seats sunken in and divided with massive center consoles. Especially the Taurus.
Also, I stumbled upon the post before it was shared to the main site - I was reading Tom's posts, so I happened to see it 3 hours before most.
Your comments section isn't empty because we're not reading your post, we all just love wagons so much that none of us could think of a single one.
Real world, I haven't seen one under $30K. Plus tax, title, tags, etc. puts it around $33,000. I actually went to the dealership, test drove one, and was drawing up papers when I realized there was no way to do it under $30K and I said "that's just ridiculous for a Focus, no matter what engine's in it," and called off…
Same deal when I drove my wife's old minivan. People would go insane, and like you said, literally go 100 mph to "reassert their dominance." Nuts.
What kind of a goal is "only 2,000 deaths per year" or whatever, though? You have to have balls to move the ball down the field. Balls is what puts men on the moon.
can't drink beer in the rain under a barn door
BT brother! I used to drive for them too! What year Roadeo was that? I was in the one in either 2006 or 2007. My favorite test was picking up a tennis ball between the two rear tires.
I have a bitchin' first gen X3 with a 6 speed manual and it's a great driver's car. Not just "good for an 'SUV'," objectively good. Mine even has turn signals!
Exactly. And I fully understand not wanting to give a single second more of your time to someone or something that makes you upset.
Only timeless designs.
That's right - you're going to buy my manual X3 aren't you?
From the video - Monti-WHAT NOW? Sell-O?
NISMO Maxima Wagon with 3 pedals, please.
It's because their floors are so high inside. There is no footwell at all. The bottom of the floor is roughly 3" below where your ass is.
1) Rotate & Balance. No square tires allowed when you're going fast (never mind, you'll probably be a bit speed shy) for a long time.
