It’s a vicious circle.

I’ve always loved this one:

You have a point, although they have been moving away from political stuff over the last month anyway. I have a feeling they are saving up for some big Baldwin Trump moments in the last two shows, to which I say - fuck that noise.

I’m going to guess that the reason there was no Barr cold open (or any political satire at all outside of a few Update jokes) was a sop to Sandler’s fan base. I’m betting his mainly white, suburban frat bro fans skew more Republican than the average SNL viewer. The show was going to get a ratings bump this week, so

either you are trolling or disingenuous. Your argument only works in the same way that black parents need to have “the talk” with their black sons around how to act in front of police. It’s an unfair double standard.

“Trumpian agitation tactics”, lol. Love dipshit civility liberals.

You're an idiot.

So Omar gets death threats and it’s somehow her fault?

What rhetoric? Are you fucking kidding? She’s pointing out basic objective facts and people are threatening to kill her. Who the fuck ungreyed you?

I agree!

They definitely hadn’t quite figured out his hair/beard. The too-blonde eyebrows are particularly distracting.

I’m not sure there’s any one scene that’s as good as Diana going for it in no-man’s-land, but the ending of Shazam! is better than every DCEU movie except maybe Aquaman, and there’s a difference in the scale of stakes there that makes it hard to compare. Much, much better than Suicide Squad, which solves everything by

Just saw it, it’s definitely #2 in the DCEU, might be #1.

Some cast members have that unique quality that adds to the ensemble or the entertainment somehow. It’s called *presence*, and LJ has it, regardless of her ability to read cue cards, on cue. Pete Davidson is another one with this quality. He’s severely limited as a performer/ actor but still manages to add something

That's 2 time Emmy nominee Leslie Jones for you bub

They should have brought in a special guest like Damon Wayans. The singing bits were the strongest. If they had made the sketch more like “Trapped In the Closet” Keenan would have been able to pull it off.

I wonder if Chris Redd would have done a better job. Kenan isn’t particularly known for his impressions.

It’s so annoying because just last week they showed the potential the show still has if they try for improvements.

Watching Kenan try and fail as R. Kelly really made me wish Jay Pharoah was still on the show. I miss his uncanny impressions of black celebrities, and he would’ve easily knocked this one out of the park.

By super hero film standards, Wonder Woman should already have shut down that conversation. It won’t. It never will. Captain Marvel could be the greatest production ever reduced to film and it wouldn’t change those assholes’ minds.
