I can absolutely picture this weaving through traffic at 90 on the Parkway.

Decades of aero, crash, and handling design were built around that layout. You say “ground up” like it’s design from scratch. But it’s not. Engineers and designers are relying on those decades of knowledge, available parts (which are cheaper then from scratch bespoke parts and designs) to make cars affordable.

I disagree, people want something familiar, and besides it adds additional storage space, not to mention a crumple zone in a front end collision. My biggest gripe, which again as you mentioned no needed as no ICE up front, is the lack of a grille. Like yes I get it you don’t need it for cooling, but so many EV’s just

Engine bay rust on all the fasteners/nuts/bolts. I bet the undercarriage looks rough.

ND Let’s be clear about “NJ Highway Miles”. One cannot just hop onto a highway, even the limited access toll roads, and cruise along undisturbed for hours. Our highway driving is like urban rush hour driving in other states, just with less traffic lights.

200K, needs a clutch and seat covers for 8K. ND

So what you’re asking for is the Canoo van?

Crumple zone?

fuck off with the kids today bullshit

Home, home on the range

A rust-free Land Cruiser of this era will always be worth at least 5-8k as long as it doesn’t have some kind of massive damage or unrepaired mechanical failure. NP because you could buy it, drive it for a bit, and sell it for the same price later.

My son LOVED Rescuers Down Under. He (we) watched it over and over again. As an adult, he sailed across the Pacific and settled in...Australia. I prefer the original Rescuers. We call all dragonflies “Evinrude.”

it's obviously bullshit from someone that hasn't watched the movie and just wants engagement

The Rescuers Down Under, a “tepid sequel”? Them’s fightin’ words.

Between this and mistaking Strange World for a Pixar release in another article, I’m just convinced AV Club writers see “CGI, no princess” and assume “Pixar film.”

Without black plastic cladding lining the edge of the wheel wells I’d be worried the wheels will fall off. Unsafe at any speed.

So if the Impreza is going hatch-only, does that mean the next-gen WRX and STI will do the same? Please?

How on earth did this end up with practically no body cladding while the WRX has an excessive amount?

No kidding but also awesome that manufacturers are realizing we want good looking cars as much as MPG and handling and so on. Hope this trends.

Yes beginner drivers really need performance cars. That is an excellent idea.
