Remember when the Stinger was announced and all the Jalops were planning to buy hugely depreciated used Stingers? Thanks Covid... : /

I’ve been looking at Stingers for a while, because I like the looks and the overall package, and if I didn’t already have a full driveway . . .

1, not sure how many folks use it. Anecdotally, I use mine every day.
2, it didn’t create a $400 increase to cost of the car, but it did cost them $400 for every owner that didn’t buy one because it was free. The unit itself doesn’t cost $400 to produce.
3, your math is way off, especially for a model 3. On my Model S

Next week, it will become a subscription based option for $200/month.

You can get a new Nissan Leaf for under $30k.

As for the price of EVs overall, it might just be that... EVs might just cost automakers a ton to make, and lower prices from scale just aren’t coming any time soon.

Early adopters almost always pay more. Yes, it’s still early days for EVs.

A quick reminder that average priced new vehicles have not been affordable to someone making the median income since the Model T. So making that comparison is a bit flawed. It’s regrettable, but unless I was going to turn this into a dedicated track toy, I’ve gotta say No Dice.

NP at $5,900. I still wouldn’t buy it, but this car is for:

Lawrence, I think that adds greatly to the absurdity of the story. You should have absolutely included that bit, it wouldn’t have been wordy.

Not to mention he’s too lazy to post more than 4 images on Craigslist. I post more angles than that when selling baby gear! (Or even giving it away for free.)

The seller can adjust deez nuts for inflation.

Here’s the thing, and someone correct me if I’m wrong: It seems to me the demand side of the current market is driven by people desperate for a car, any car, in a world of scarcity. If you’re shopping for a well-sorted Carrera, you also have the means to afford a decent DD without much stress, even in today’s madness.

Kim Jong Un would like a word - the great Democratic People’s Republic of Korea always votes 100% for the dear leader

Oh in total agreement! Ultimately the producers should have said “we understand you don’t want to make this a bigger deal but we can’t have this behavior here, we have a zero tolerance policy for violence and we are having him escorted off the premises”

Another day, another group of amazing Black folks whose night and achievements were ruined by Will Smith.
