Despite Che somehow getting worst at his lines I really liked WU tonight. I like that they seem to be trying to play with the format more. Also is it just a me or did the whole show do a really good job at keeping the sketches short and sweet, a problem snl has had for a while.

Agreed. The thing is both these sketches are pretty long and kind of weird. I can see them justifying cutting "wings" for timing purposes and giving "bad boys" the green light after seeing the internet's reaction to the original.

He really killed it tonight. I feel kind of bad because even my younger brother said, "Oh this is who they fired Brooks Wheelan for".
Someone from The Not Ready for Prime-time Podcast suggested that the show really wanted a new big personality type to give a face to the show, and Wheelan was last season's attempt at

People should check out "Wings", a similar Beck and Kyle sketch from the Andrew Garfield episode that was cut. Just as amazing.

WU was soooo strong tonight. I wasn't even mad that it lasted so long like I usually do.

Yeah I remember Strong looking like a nervous wreck on her first episode on WU. Stumbled on a few jokes, etc. A lot of nervous Nellys on tonight's show. Weirdly I thought Davidson came out really confident for his first episode. I bet a lot of people finished the episode saying "that kid is gonna be a star".

With that logic, shouldn't we give Jost another half season to prove himself?
*ducks for cover*

"Just because this isn't Gotham Central doesn't mean it can't still be good."

Yeah, besides Jost, I wouldn't mind giving all the new cast another season to get their shit together. Lots of past cast members spent their first few seasons doing not much before blowing up.
I liked Viper too!

Idk i always imagined Captain Marvel as more butch. Isn't she military in most of her incarnations?

She was actually taking a crappy instagram photo.

I wished his maintenance guy character with norton was better. I feel like they almost had something there.

It doesn't have to be something they use in the movies. Similarly to alcoholic Stark.

In this case I hope it's an amalgamation of all the Ant Men into Hank Pym.
Pym is my favorite but i wouldnt mind if he was "tweaked" a bit to be more likable.

I'm downvoting cuz you reminded me of that.
You don't deserve it but I'm still angry.

Someone on a forum described Hank Pym in a great way once.
He's a hero at heart who can't help but be a mad scientist.
Or a mad scientist who's trying really hard to be a hero.
Anyways there's more to the character than wife beating, I wish more writers knew that.

As much as I disliked how they downplayed Tony Stark's alcoholism in Iron Man 2, I really hope they don't make the wife beating stuff a center piece in the movie. That really has been hurting the character in the comics.

Lorne said in a very recent quote that he was open to hiring 2 new cast members during those auditions. But no more than 2.

Commenters don't seem to know that Commissioner Gordon is the lead in Gotham and not Bruce Wayne.

sad statement considering SNL's history of pushing limits
