I might have to take another look. I really like the look of steelies for the winter. Plus, no corrosion worries like every set of aluminums I’ve used in the winter.

Oooooooooo...the Cornflower is such a nice color. That’s not a bad deal on the powder coating and I’m in the Chicago area as well. I found some Classix on CL and I might just have to get them now.

I'm not sure on the sportwagen but the GTI with performance pack has the Golf R brakes. 17" is the smallest wheel and I've heard of clearance issues with some of those. I checked Tirerack and Discount Tire and neither had them. At least I was able to get steelies for the minivan.

Dang it. Everytime I think I’m just gonna get the cheap Andros wheels from tirerack someone shows me something better! Back to marketplace. Surprisingly I haven’t found much on marketplace. I’ve been thinking of replica Austins. I’m not sure the quality though.

My guess is the people that will buy the car may read those publications. By the people that will buy the car I do mean the olds. Don’t want to drive away a key group of buyers. Seriously though, I’m guessing that GM’s marketing team does what they always do which is to say they haven’t got a clue how to sell things

New Mexico? I guess they figure why bother restrictions on them when no one is gonna bother using them.

That Golf looks awesome with steelies. I wish I could get some for my GTI but no I had to have the better brakes. Now I'll be buying aluminum rims 😞.

That is the correct reaction.

My thought is awesome!

Hmmm, how much plaid is too much plaid. I could wrap my GTI in plaid and then it would be totally plaid inside and out.

I’m glad you are okay. Sometimes things happen to make you realize what is important and what is just BS.

Go just a little bigger and you could at least get a wet bathroom.

Wow, I just realized I  have over 500 HP in my garage! I have to admit that over half of that number comes in the form of a minivan.

Ugh....this reminds me I need to kill my soundaktor.

Something makes me think those are two different buyers.

“The Mustang is loud and vulgar and brash.” Agreed, the BMW seems like the boringest way to get your 500 horsepower, the NSX the most expensive and it has the exhaust note of a sedan. The Mustang is the right answer.

If they give a better view of what is next to you they might be a good idea. However, mirrors work fine. It all goes wrong when people that think they need to see half of their own car in the mirror. Why do you need to see your car, you know where it is?

Might be easier to list the good interiors. It’s not just the design aesthetics. It’s also the ease of use. There can be a mixture of buttons and touch screen. I don’t want my fan controls to be touch screen, I’d rather have the old slider controls in 80s cars.

Yikes, very different designers on the exterior and interior.

The only thing that VW needs to add is a Golf based ute and they’ve got it all.
