Think you gave me an idea for the next Jalopnik poll: What’s the best factory exhaust system?

Looks like the designer hit up his local Pep Boys for a few of these:

One is sufficient.

Graverobber, your poll left out an option

i dissagree

This is still a 2.5 at best, not a true #2. For the majority of people, we shouldn’t be able to tell the difference between a #2 and a #1, they should both look perfect to most people. A #2 car can have miles on it, as this does, but it doesn’t show them at all, especially not in pictures. From the interior pictures

$52.5k for an M5 with 100,000 miles?

Based on my own experience with 80's BMW’s lol

52K? Pffff.......

Sure you can!

I can't do it. If by Hagerty's Excellent, he means a #1, he's out of his mind. Without concours trophies to back it up, this is a #2 at best, and if it's being regularly driven, that pushes it to #3/NADA High retail. I'd say his ask is about twice what the car is really worth. $25k for this is an ok price, less than

“You can’t ‘excellent condition’ away 100K miles, sorry.”

That’s just seems like a terrible way to spend $52k on a car. I mean yeah they're cool cars, but they're cool at $15-20k. Honestly his price is probably close to the market now, but to me that's more a problem with the market than the car actually being worth $52k. CP.

I don’t think they want to sell it. I think this is a case of being told by someone they need to, but setting the price so high that nobody will even make the offer. I’ve no doubt it is a great car, it looks to be a very good example, but it just is not worth the price asked and I wouldn’t even bother making an offer

Sorry, but the E30 M3 price will always dictate where these end up. On the high side he is about 10 Grand too high. I could pay 35 for a very well maintained but low mileage example.

Hagerty’s average is almost $38K on these.

52 grand for a 100k mile car?? what?? am i that out of the loop on M5 prices? because in my head this is worth maybe 15 grand? Unless i am that out of the loop... im going CP on this..
