WRC has already had two and a half days of action, with three out of five live stages been done. Kris Meeke is now leading with over a minute over Sebastien Ogier, who is chased by Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo.

I have to wonder just how “mysterious” the leak Alissa describes can truly be. From my experience, a leak is caused by cracks or holes. Not much a mystery there.
Heh. Close enough.
Right, also no transmission tunnel. They could have gone with a shifter from a pre-964 911 ;)
I want somebody to start using the lawnmower icons on the automatic shift levers. Just give me a rabbit and a turtle.
This tidbit might help keep them straight: RGB is additive, so you’re starting with nothing—a black screen—with which you add RGB colors to get the resulting shades displaying on the monitor.
HA, it really would be! Honestly, though, unless Mr. Car Burglar has driven a classic car or truck, he’s never going to know how to make it move.
As does Toyota.
Me... I’m with you!!!
I 100% prefer column shifters in automatics. That being said, I have driven several Mercedes models with that column shifter. The problem is that it felt like nothing more than a turn signal lever, wimpy and not substantial. Had it felt like the massive authoritative old column shifter in my dad’s Grand Marquis I…
Remember when we all thought this was stupid?
These are (jokingly) called RAS syndrome words (for redundant acronym syndrome). They are absolutely everywhere. It’s better to just accept that English is weird and people are dumb. ATM machine, PIN number, VIN number, basically anything that ends in number I guess.
You’re just mad because you can never remember your PIN number.
Automatics can do whatever they want. They’re just below elevators on the ease-of-use scale. Mobility for the commuting drones.
As the owner of an old Alfa with this configuration, I can’t understand why it wasn’t/isn’t more common. When you are driving hard (especially on the track), you need both hands on the wheel. Why not put the shifter where you don’t need to move your hand as far to shift?
I’m with everyone on buttons or column levers but those dials really the fucking worst. I drove a rental with a dial like that for its transmission and by the end of the week I realized I'd have rather spent my mornings clipping the toenails of an unsedated polar bear. It was the most supremely unnatural feeling…
Come on, it’s a Jaguar. That’s never going to happen.
When I see that, all I can think of is one fine morning, I’m in a hurry to get to work and the motor that makes it go up fails.
Now look up “Illegal Colours” for broadcast formats. They are the bane of my life.
For a simple explanation: R, G, B, C, M, Y and black as a pure form cannot show on CRT TV’s. Most people don’t have these anymore but the rules have not changed much for a lot of networks, and many parts of the world still use CRT’s, so…
