Well, there’s at least one other difference—nobody on Earth accepts Beanie Babies as currency.

Bitcoin is too volatile to ever be viable currency. True, the U.S. dollar can also be volatile, but Bitcoin’s spikes up and down would need to be tamed for people to be willing to spend it.
All home prices everywhere are a monumental rip off.
It really bothers me how whenever anyone talks about “cutting the cord” all they’re talking about is connecting to another cord that they’ll pay a monthly fee to access. Call it “getting rid of cable/satellite” or something more descriptive, but it’s not cutting the cord.
No cocaine? How can a Florida man with three naked women not have a large amount of cocaine?
Does anyone know what Satoshi was trying to say or do that people weren’t listening to?

People with tattoos are shady as hell and the majority of people who have them are engaged in illegal acts, so let’s just preemptively arrest and imprison everyone with a tattoo.

Thanks for that great answer...I just wish that I could understand what you said. It went over my head pretty much immediately, but I did have a good laugh when I read this:
It was in 1992 so most of the details are kinda fuzzy, but I was 18 and had a red ‘85 Fiero and was driving it like an 18 year old would drive a sporty car. I was on the interstate going back to college after a driving a friend to the airport and the highway patrol Mustang was going in the opposite direction and he…
That generation of Civics looks so damned good. I used to have a four door ‘88 Civic LX (my first stick shift!) and it was one of my favorite cars. I still see them on the road all the time and it makes me wish that I still had mine.
The 2nd generation Kia Rio5 is basically a Golf rip-off, and I love it.
That really makes the cops around here look like white trash with their Chargers, Challengers, and Mustangs. I’ve actually gotten a speeding ticket from a highway patrol Mustang, but that’s a story for another time.
I always thought that TR7 was a great name for a car.
