What the hell?!? I had to closely examine that picture for a few seconds to figure out what in the world it was....and then I kept looking because I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. Even though I figured out what it is I still don’t know what it is, although the dog has an appropriately sad look on his face.

Was it really condescending? If you’d used your “cheap food at a gas station” for an example instead of a coffee I wouldn’t have mentioned it, but buying a coffee when you don’t have enough to cover it in your bank account is a prime example of financial illiteracy in my opinion. I’m not unsympathetic to people who

Easier said than done. A large percentage of Americans work paycheck to paycheck and are so broke by the end of their pay period (especially if they’re paid monthly) that an extra $10 just isn’t realistic. That being said, if your account goes overdrawn because you’re using your debit card to buy a coffee then you

I’ve never heard it before...and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it happen in one of my cars.

Your photoshop is a much higher quality one than theirs.

“one more reason for other powers to explore procuring their own nuclear deterrents and advanced missile defense systems.”

Don’t you mean “only really good cases do have dust filters”? I’ve only had three computers (a Compaq, a Sony, and a Gateway) and none of them have had filters as far as I know. I’ve added new stuff to the Sony and the Gateway and I never say any filters when I had the cases open.

I never thought of that! Why don’t desktop computers have replaceable dust filters? It seems like a good idea, plus it’s an extra way for them to keep making money off of people so I’m surprised that computer manufacturers don’t do it.

Apparently it takes a ton of money to keep a racetrack open, because the one in my town (Heartland Park Topeka) has been losing money for years and has depended on taxpayer money for most of its life. The city has been trying for the past six months to issue new bonds to keep the place open, but there was a taxpayer

Once the current tech bubble bursts they’ll be lucky to have enough for cab fare to get home.

Is there any other kind?

As a Kansas resident and Uber hater I’m happy about this new law, but I’m shocked that the legislature overrode governor Brownback’s veto. They’ve bent over and let him have his way with them for years so I really am shocked by this. And as a funny side-note, Uber hired one of Brownback’s staff members as a lobbyist

But if they don’t have a problem with Colorado’s background checks why are their panties in a twist over the proposed ones in Kansas?

When I was in college I used a fanny pack all the time and I loved it. I’m not sure why I quit using it, but maybe I should start using it again. Thanks for the reminder!

I wish that it was socially acceptable for men to carry purses. I always feel that way once it’s no longer coat/jacket weather and I lose those extra pockets until it gets cold again. I carry a messenger bag to work, but that’s not really something that you can take with you everywhere you go like a purse.

I didn’t realize that was VP Biden until I read the photo credits, but imagine how great it would have been if he was the one wearing the Hooters t-shirt in that picture.

I opened it for the same reason but you beat me to it....although the chair looks like vinyl not leather and the base looks cheap too, so it might be a fake.

If so, the dealership did the people of Miami a favor by getting her off of the road. Sidebar, definitely related: people over 75 should be forced to pass a driving test every year to keep their driving privileges.

If she’s not competent, she shouldn’t be behind the wheel. Maybe the car dealer did the residents of Miami a favor by taking an incompetent driver off of the road?
