Aha, for once my irrational avoidance of a particular brand, based on one poor experience I had as a child, worked in my favor!

Structural engineer here. The fact that this is the largest of the 3 (apparent) braces running across the short axis of the car to stiffen the frame rails tells me it has the most load on it (yes real engineering-ish). I’m having a hard time orienting the pictures with each other but regardless: corners are always the

The owner’s son will take over team operations.

Also, that mower has 4.5lb/ft of torque which is actually not bad for $150.

He did it for the win, but definitely enjoyed putting one over on the officials. My favorite story was his extended gas line. The NASCAR officials removed the tank to inspect it, then he hopped into the car and drove back to the garage with no tank.

No, it was for the win, always was with him. Then when you look at his built in air jack system that basically is now used in Indy, F1, and other series, that not only was devised to help his team win, but to make things safer for the team too. Even if you looked at his “Stock” suspension parts for the Hudsons (like

It would have been sweeter if it worked. Honestly, I don’t really believe guys like Smokey did it for the win. I think they just got a kick out of messing with the rule makers.

That’s good NASCAR! That’s Smokey Yunick style NASCAR.

PBS receives approximately 12% of its funding from the federal government.

Other people should be forced to fund something you enjoy?

Why don’t you and the people who enjoy it fund it? Either through advertisements or their shitty fund raisers?

I’m not entirely clear why there’s a need for government funded television anymore. What makes any of their programming different than what any other station can provide? There’s no reason those shows can’t be on other channels and vice-versa. In fact, some are.

Netflix makes some great shows without taking my tax money to do it.

Lets look at some PBS content to discover why some non-immoral non-greedy fucks want to defund federal spending on PBS:

It absolutely should be defunded. While they do produce some quality programming, they are far from the only ones. Why spend taxpayer dollars on this when there is so much quality programming out there? What’s the point?

Bizzarley enough, David Koch is one of the big donors funding NOVA.
