I’ve considered that but most receivers I’ve seen are more expensive than the TVs I’m looking at and have hdmi IN with no hdmi OUT, which makes playing games impossible. I usually have to do an optical port out from the tv or directly from the console’s optical to the sound system so I can get video and surround sound.

I have not played Yokai watch games, but didn’t they have some functionality with an optional watch toy peripheral akin to that wrist band you can get the gems for on the newer 3DS pokemon games? I wonder if the doors tie in to a similar gimmick? Maybe they will have “door cards” that are basically NFC/Amiibos.

It reminds me of that patent filing Nintendo made a while back. I wonder if the patent was for THIS specifically, although the patent seemed to indicate tech that allowed the screens to know where they were relative to eachother without user input.

Skylanders handles figures much like lives, if a character gets knocked out he needs to “rest” which means he’s out until you beat the mission your on or quit and retry. I imagine it’s the same here.
