I always like the term “comic mischief”.

I think I prefer it with the T rating honestly. It’s not like they ever did anything interesting with the M rating anyways, it just felt like they had to make it a bit too try hard-y at times to keep up with the gore. This one feels a lot...I dunno. Fluffier? But in a good way. I’ve rolled my eyes waaaaaaay less at

It’s low mileage and in nearly new condition, but it wasn’t that good of a car when it was actually new.

Nearly $10k for a nearly 20 year old car that’s not really sought after? That seems absurd.

I assume he means models, not total volume.

Yeah, the production is a very good point, but your even better point here is that the Maverick and the SC aren’t the direct competitors.   The Ridgeline and SC are... which makes those SC numbers pretty impressive.

Except a lot of them are taller now. Hood lines and bed lines seem to be a lot higher, and probably seating positions (because people like to sit up higher to feel like they're in control).

Trucks are in vogue right now, so that gives the Maverick a leg up on the other $20k cars. The fact that it has a little bed is just a bonus.

Do these numbers really mean that the Maverick is more popular, or just that Ford was able to produce more units than Hyundai?

The Ridgeline has always been relatively expensive and niche. It starts over $37k. Beating it should be pretty easy.

You're comparing to the wrong vehicles.  You should be comparing to the Versa, Spark, Soul, Fit and other vehicles you can get for around $20k.

2010s Bynes had a death wish and clearly needed a decade of mental health treatment and recovery. I agree the convertorship was good here. It was needed and seems to have been a huge success. Positive example.

Sounds like it was a totally different situation than Britney and like Bynes’ mom respected her daughter’s autonomy. I don’t think this should be framed the same way as Britney’s because it sounds like the conservator ship was good for Bynes and she even recognizes it, at least per her lawyer. And it’s refreshing to

I feel like it would not be hard for unscrupulous salesmen (if such exist, of course) to game this thing.

And not having a fucking cat in a vehicle like that.

While I haven’t dealt with insurance there, generally it only pays out the value of the car. In this case, given that it’s an old Subaru, if it’s written off (likely) the potential payout is going to be pretty low. It might be very difficult to find an equivalent vehicle for the price of the payout - and certainly

There is no fuck to sue out of the other parties.

A Youtuber/influencer behaving like a narcissistic, entitled, wanker?

Someone pointed this out in the other article, but Choi’s video should be flagged/demonetized for containing dangerous/illegal acts. You don’t even have to click into it to flag it on mobile (I hope that avoids giving him any revenue or any sort of engagement).

I am glad this person figured out a way to fund the purchase of a replacement vehicle but hopefully he is also pursuing legal and insurance claims against the driver and whoever else was involved with this crash.
