Exactly how is what he said racist...? He talks about failed states and poor transitions, combined with a socio-economic issue based on large-family size and easily inferred from said family-size, need. Takes a lot of Euro to feed 7-8 kids, vs 1-2. It isn’t racist at all. Large-family size is a pretty common

Maybe I am naive, but to me this reads like him just talking about how profound the crises to be dealt with are. Saying they are civilizational means they threaten the civilization there to it’s core. Saying that there are 7 or 8 children per woman is to give a piece of information to explain why you cannot solve it

More specifically, nerves “run” on salt ions, such as the ones found in salt water. So exposing these intact nervous pathways to salt water causes the nerves to fire and muscles to contract.

I feel like you could have boiled this whole article down to:

Seconded. What you call Northern Ireland is important because you are proclaiming a political stance by using certain terms. There is no truly neutral term but for foreigners it’s best to stick to Northern Ireland as that’s the official one and therefore the most neutral you can get. “North of Ireland” or “the Six

Your headline should read “Northern Irish Women…” not North Irish women.

This should explain everything.

Oh jeez, here come the cool witty atheists with their flying spaghetti monster jokes...

This is all incredibly impressive pound for pound, but the headline is misleading. I can definitely lift more than her. Then again, I’m also 6'3", 220lbs and a man who regularly works out, so that should be expected. Considering her size, the young woman practically has spider-strength.

I keep hearing people say this, and I don’t agree with it at all. If you have any sense of imagination, you can tweak the designs from the original series enough that it can be appealing to a modern audience, while still being a believable precursor to the original series. The USS Kelvin in Star Trek (2009) was a

Security personnel in Star Trek: The Motion Picture had some kind of armor.

It’s funny because Germany were the bad guys like 50 years ago, and now they’re leading the way in how you should act as a civilization. They’ve come a long way compared to other countries.

The G in GIF stands for graphic, which uses a hard G. I’m not sure where the hell anyone got off thinking a soft G was appropriate (even if the soft G pronunciation dates back to the GIF’s inception. - it’s dead wrong).

I would be happy to see a next-gen version of Futurama.

I love Futurama, but after an excellent series finale they managed to bring it back, make it not suck, and give it a second excellent series finale. Frankly I’m willing to let it die rather than hoping for lightning to strike here again.

I don’t want my Federation credits going to support some interplanetary school system supporting IDIC. For all I know they mind meld their students into space liberals or something.

Humans appropriating Vulcan culture. Disgusting.

Yay for interplanetary school vouchers!

“If you had moderate endurance and our Skyline Chili, you could be propelled swim across the river from one stadium to the other,” Cappell said, laughing

look I’m not angry or necessarily against this, and I usually am cool w/ shakeups to existing cannon, but I think here it would be nice to see two men who are best friends...who also happen to NOT be gay. It is very rare for men, who perhaps by nature or perhaps through societal conditioning, to have adult male
