i know right maybe cbs will give her a role in the new trek show, she will rock it.

but has she ever talked about loving star trek before ? or just after she was hired to do the song for the movie . And pop stars are always writing songs about things they love, she could have put some trek inspired lyrics in her songs.

I mean Star Trek is set in universe where some species have several genders(Andorians(4) and Vissians(3)) or no genders (J’naii) or are in relationships with multiple partners at once (Denobulan (several wifes/husbands).

Kirk had an older brother in Star Trek 2009 (in a scene at the start), but they cut him out, so yea that was annoying.

Come on we all knew sulu was gay in Tos. Kirk slept with every woman he could find. Spock and Bone had a fair few flings. And even Scotty And Chekov where seeing being very into woman.

Robocop and Total Recall got alot of sick to be fair ,but nothing compares to this.

yea such because we are remaking something does not mean they need to set it in 2016, alot of tone and style came from the period, i would love to see them do that. and like you said a grindhouse style would work well.
