Pretty rude reply. I guess, though, that if we disagree about anything, I must deserve it. Because that's how we do things now, right?

This may sound inane or petty, but controversy over horse meat played a significant role in my turn towards the darkside of Objectivism. Many years ago, there was a proposition on the California ballot, looking to outlaw the slaughter of horses for human consumption (if I remember it right), and I just could not wrap

This is a leftist site. Not saying that to disparage it, but it is what it is. And the left are no longer the champions of free speech that they once were. Rather, I find the left increasingly hostile towards free speech, and this write-up is just another drop in that bucket.

Out of curiosity, do you differentiate between that sort of activity and… dressing up in period wear for the purpose of a play or a movie? Is that a fundamentally different type of "re-enactment" in your opinion? Or is it too demeaning to ask a Japanese actor to play a role in a period piece about WWII internment

lver.

I wonder what comment you would have left here, if you hadn't gotten banned from that forum…?

I'm not trying to compare this guy to Dao; I took it that you were originally describing this Delta incident as a tantrum.

Except that you'd originally said "I like it when the passengers respond to what may be an unreasonable request by throwing a public temper tantrum."

The guy in this video was attempting to keep the seat that he had purchased and arranged to use for his toddler with Delta employees earlier. He was completely in the right. He was attempting to express this in the face of confrontation and asking that these other Delta employees do what was right and agreed to.

Hmm… I took the original joke as being about intimacy between Trump and Putin, and Trump's subservience — not that there's anything wrong with fellatio or homosexuality.

Hey — does this mean we finally get Dr. Horrible 2?? :)

Appellate court was also how Stella got her groove back.

So, I unironically and earnestly agree with the idea that Ben Bailey needs to be brought back for this. He was a great host, and the words "Red Light Challenge!" just won't be the same coming from anybody else.

This is it, right here.

The world's gonna do what the world's gonna do. Let it go for awhile. Concentrate on yourself and the people close to you — the things you can control. Before you know it, things in the world will get better. (Or they won't, but why not be optimistic?)

All right — may I ask you then, because the article has me a touch concerned…

I've long taken an interest in the JFK assassination myself, and it's been interesting (and disappointing) to see how — over the last three decades or so — questioning the Warren Commission went from respectable (and possibly majority) position to fringe nutjob "truther" status.

No, but it could be the first line of one!

I'm happy they're doing this. It's as good an adaptation of the books as I think possible.
