This is an interesting discussion. I guess where I'm getting hung up is the (implicit — to me, at least) suggestion that there's something negative about the military. I don't know why others would insist that Starfleet is other than a military organization or why we should expect or hope for something different.

Yes, okay, but—

Tough question…

If you need a car or truck, pussy cow.

People are putting cilantro into their salads? Interesting stuff. I grew up in Los Angeles, where cilantro is not really optional — if you visit the taquerias (as in L.A., you really should), you're eating it — and fortunately I love the flavor.

Hey Phil,

I'm sure they must be lurking somewhere in the twelve-hundred-plus comments, but a few I have not yet seen:

Finally, I'll confess my lifelong fear of… Virginia Woolf…

This seems like a pretty good thing to me. I see some comments about, "Why not just donate the food to the homeless?" But I don't think this prevents anyone from doing that? Donation was and remains an option, but clearly there's still room for improvement.

I was introduced to the comic in question here on the AV Club, when someone was insulting Objectivists and I challenged his remarks. I was held to do the wrong thing (and further to prove that the

Can't we somehow just have more Rome, please?

You're saying that Glory is Ben…?

They came out at "E," for Estados Unidos de America, I believe.

I really and sincerely admire your dedication to the gimmick.

Hi Andrew,

I've learned about MRAs mostly through the AV Club, myself, and from what I can tell there are some valid points and issues revolving around the idea of "men's rights advocacy," but that in practice the scene is a hotbed of misogyny.

I agree with the general diction of this thread but that's just not true
at all, in the UK 'Hate Speech' is illegal and we're as tolerant (if not more tolerant) as the US of people's religions beliefs.

Holy shit, you too? Avalanche and Blaster were my most-dominant tag team and a Crimson Guard regular was my on-again, off-again world champ (man, the feud he had with the Dreadnok stable…).
