They never covered the fact that his campaign paid a supposedly independent journalist to work on the campaign’s behalf or his failures to meet up to Splinter’s shibboleths on packing the Supreme Court or the filibuster either.

It’s not just tone deaf. It is a fundamental demonstration of hypocrisy (mind you, I don’t care about anybody’s hypocrisy). He used his platform as a representative of the people of Vermont to enrich himself. I don’t necessarily fault him for it, but if you’re a populist—especially a socialist populist, the notion…
Weird there’s no news on Splinter about the Bernie Bros favorite rapist Julian Assange being arrested.
I’d like to see them report and provide commentary instead of the weak combination of hyperventilating and holier-than-thou bullshit that shows up here most of the time.
It’s worth noting, however, that Buttigieg has faced recent blowback for criticizing transgender whistleblower Chelsea Manning for leaking classified information.
Splinter’s idea of news coverage is a twitter grifter/attention slurping toad typing in all caps and shouting WHITE NATIONALIST/UR A NAZI/BERNIE IS DADDY without doing any actual reporting.
Nowhere on the bill are you charged one ounce of decency or manners, yet you don't call your server a cunt, right? So that's clearly not true.
It always befuddles me how a certain set of people will always look at the worker as the problem? I don’t go out to eat so that I can do a manager’s job for them and judge/rate/pay their staff. I do it for the food and the company of whomever I’ve decided to go eat with. Maybe if I’m doing the equivalent of employee…
Of course US tipping culture sucks, but it’s what’s in place right now, and not participating in it isn’t an interesting intellectual exercise or protest, it just makes you look like a prick.
Pay. People. For. Their. Labor.
Words outta my mouth. Take ‘em. They’re better off with you anyway.
Morality and legality are two separate things. Are you really an adult in 2019 and don’t understand this? Apologies if you’re actually 14.
If you can’t afford to tip 20% then you can’t afford to eat out.
Tipping is a service industry con, where the responsibility for paying the workers a fair rate for their labor is shifted from their employers to their customers. It’s total insanity that a lot of food industry workers depend on ETIQUETTE and not labor laws to receive a livable wage.
Steal pennies out of the penny jar. Lifehack!
I despise the entire system of tipping and would love for it to end. As it stands now, tipping is nothing more than rich people exploiting their lower and middle class customers to help directly pay their lower and middle class employees, all so that they can pocket and hoard even more of the wealth they aren’t…
I was a server for years and I can say with confidence that this opinion is nothing more than justification to short people who do a job that, at the end of the day, even with tips, still doesn’t earn them enough when you consider how difficult the job is.
Virtually all American servers make below minimum wage, so the rest of your bullshit comment is completely irrelevant.
Doubling an eight percent tax gives you SIXTEEN percent, you cheap fuck.
