At their prices, you can hit the $10 threshold pretty easy. Add the cheese fries and a concrete (or a draft beer) and you’re done.

Eh, for what it’s worth, the article got picked up by the Google news algorithm not long after publication, which meant it was getting dumped directly into the feed of every Google user who has an alert setup for “Elon Musk.” For one thing, that’s a lot of people, only a very tiny fraction of whom are regular Deadspin

I live in Boston and spent ten years riding an electric-powered underground transport system. Its called the “T”, short for trolley. The concept is approximately 114 years old.

You also forget that a Tesla does not have an engine under the front hood, that is one or two more passengers right there.

You are selling this idea very short.

Hey, that’s a valid critique and one that I should have caught on my read-through before posting. Let me run a little correction.

Jack,

These aren’t handled by the browser, though, so it’s not really quite the same. The “do a barrel roll” thing is Google specific, but these “shortcuts” are actually top-level domains, so they’ll work in any browser, on any OS, because Google now owns the domains doc.new, document.new, etc.

If we take Roddenberry’s outlook to its logical conclusion, the mid-4th millennium will be so conflict-free that a Star Trek show will consist simply of the cast sitting in their chairs for a full hour, with smug looks on their faces.

I would hope that they stick relatively close to the timeline where it left off, otherwise any guest spots or cameos by living former cast members would all have to be holodeck contrivances like (see gif below) Leonardo diVinci.

I’m really not.

Good point - should read Overrated

Sounds like exactly what Kroger wanted you to do.

This is dumb and stupid, so let’s keep it going.

Or this.

  • I second the recommendation regarding Letchworth State Park...it’s an outstanding natural resource, and particularly gorgeous when the leaves are changing around October.
